In this paper, we propose an augmented reality(AR) service for National Treasure No. 287, the Great Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje, using an AR platform. The proposed AR service adopted ARCore, one of AR platforms, to apply AR technology. And we created an AR application that can provide proposed AR service using the Unity and ARCore. We directly check its existence and location on the table on which the cultural heritage is placed, and inform the start of the proposed AR service. And the proposed AR service shows the augmented information of the cultural heritage. In addition, we augment the sacred animals as virtual objects on the cultural heritage to convey the value and meaning to the visitors. We show the possibility of AR technology that transcends the temporal and spatial constraints of the current cultural heritages and can provide an expanded experience to visitors using virtual objects. In this paper, we could confirm whether the proposed AR service for the Great Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje works well with the cultural heritage using the AR platform.

우리는 본 논문에서 증강 현실(AR) 플랫폼을 이용하여 국보 287호인 백제금동대향로를 위한 AR 서비스 를 제안한다. 제안한 AR 서비스는 증강 현실 기술을 적용하기 위해서 AR 플랫폼중 하나인 ARCore를 채택했다. 또한, 우리는 Unity와 ARCore를 이용하여 AR 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 애플리케이션을 만들었다. 우리는 금동 대향로가 놓인 테이블 위에 그것의 존재를 직접 확인하고 백제금동대향로의 AR 서비스 시작을 알려준다. 그리고 제안한 AR 서비스는 금동대향로의 정보들을 증강해서 보여준다. 게다가, 우리는 신성스러운 동물들을 가상 객체 로 금동대향로에 증강시켜 문화 유산의 가치와 의미를 관람객들에게 전달한다. 우리는 가상 객체들을 이용하여 관 람객에게 현재 문화 유산들의 시간적 공간적 제약을 초월하고 확장된 경험을 제공할 수 있는 AR 기술의 가능성 을 보여준다. 본 논문에서 우리는 AR 플랫폼을 이용하여 백제금동대향로를 위한 제안한 AR 서비스가 문화 유산 과 조화롭게 동작하는지 확인할 수 있었다.
