This paper finds the source of universal ethics that can hold a universal binding force in this a globalized world from the Principle of GongEui (Universally Shared Values) of Unification Thought. And this paper considers this ideology to be the basis for solving ethical difficulties in the global realities. Today, Cosmopolitanism is being re-examined through an ethical discourse to form a universal human community, but on the other hand, there are also limitations. The purpose of this paper is to suggest the possibility to establish universal ethics from the view point of the principle of GongEui and overcome the drawbacks of Cosmopolitanism after examining the stance and limitations of Cosmopolitanism on universal ethics. In this manner, this thesis presents the following alternatives. First, it proposes the introduction of common ethics based on shimjung of God as the universal value of humankind and the source of morality. Second, responding to the criticism that cosmopolitanism has no substance because it cannot find a common foundation that would reflect various cultural differences, this thesis will strive to prove that the 'family' is the basis of such foundation. Furthermore, this thesis will elaborate on the idea of ethics of the Global 'Large Family' that should be realized, transcending the existing perspective of individual ethics and the idea of a Global ‘Citizen’.

본 논문은 지구화된 세계에서 인류에게 보편적 구속력을 지닌 윤리의 원천을 통 일사상 공의주의에서 찾는다. 이를 통해 지구촌 현실에서 벌어지는 윤리적 난문제 해결의 단초가 될 것으로 본다. 오늘날 보편적 인류공동체를 이루기 위한 윤리 담론 으로 세계시민주의가 화두가 되고 있는 반면 한계도 존재한다. 본 논문의 목적은 보 편윤리에 관한 세계시민주의의 입장과 한계를 살펴본 후 통일사상 공의주의의 관점 에서 보편윤리 확립의 가능성을 열고 세계시민주의가 가진 난제를 극복하기 위한 대안을 제시하는 것이다. 이와 관련하여 첫째, 인류의 보편가치이자 도덕적 원천으 로써 ‘하나님의 심정(心情)’을 기반 한 공동윤리의 도입을 제안한다. 둘째는 세계시 민주의가 다양한 문화적 차이를 반영한 공통 기반을 찾지 못하여 실체가 없다는 비 판에 대해 논자는 ‘가정’이 그 기반의 정초가 됨을 제시한다. 더 나아가 종래의 개 별인의 윤리의 관점인 세계시민주의를 넘어 가정공동체를 근간으로 하는 세계대가 족주의 윤리 실현을 제언한다.
