The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the social capital operating system on the performance decision path of exporting SMEs. Based on previous studies, theoretical discussions on the effect of knowledgemanagement competency on export performance of SMEs are summarized. In the knowledge-based perspective research, many studies have been conducted on knowledge diffusion within an organization, and it is argued that knowledge transfer between members has a positive effect on organizational innovation and performance. In this study, based on the review of the existing literature, the social capital operating system was divided into market-based and social-based, and six hypotheses including mediating effects were established. A survey was conducted on 1,092 export SMEs and 207 questionnaires were collected. As the final sample, 191 responses were used for empirical analysis, excluding 16 high non-response and insincere responses. As a result of the empirical analysis, the market-based operating system showed a significant result in the relationship between the internationalization knowledge competency, but the result was in the opposite direction to the hypothesis setting and was rejected. The effect of social operating system on internationalization knowledge competency was confirmed to be significant, but the hypothesis between social operating system and export performance was rejected. The hypothesis was adopted by confirming a significant correlation between internationalization knowledge capacity and export performance. In the mediating effect analysis, it was confirmed that the social operating system positively mediates the effect of the market-based operating system on internationalization knowledge competency. In addition, it was confirmed that internationalization knowledge competency plays a positive mediating effect between the social operating system and export performance. Finally, theoretical and practical implications are presented according to the results of empirical analysis.

본 연구는 수출 중소기업의 성과 결정 경로에서 사회적 자본의 운영체제가 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 목적을 두었다. 기존 연구를 기반으로 중소기업의 수출성과 창출에서 지식관리 역량이 갖는 영향에 대한 이론적 논의를 정리하였다. 정리 결과 지식기반관점 연구에서는 조직 내 지식 확산에 대한 연구를 다수 진행하였으며, 구성원 사이의 지식이전이 결과적으로 조직 혁신과 성과에 긍정적 영향을 미친다고 주장한 점을 밝혔 다. 본 연구에서는 기존 문헌에 대한 고찰을 기반으로 사회적 자본 운영체제를 시장 기반과 사회적 기반으로 나누고, 매개효과를 포함한 가설 6 개를 설정하였다. 수출 중소기업 1,092개를 대상으로 조사를 진행하여 207개의 설문지를 회수하였다. 응답 결과를 무응답과 불성실 응답이 높은 16개를 제외한 191개를 최종 표본으로 선정하여 실증분석에 사용하였다. 실증분석 결과 시장기반 운영체제와 국제화 지식역량의 관계는 유의한 결과를 보였지만 가설설정과 반대방향의 결과가 나와 기각하였다. 사회적 운영체제가 국제화 지식역량에 미치는 영향은 유의한 결과를 확인하 였으나 사회적 운영체제와 수출성과 사이의 가설은 기각되었다. 국제화 지식역량과 수출성과 사이에는 유의한 상관성을 확인하여 가설을 채택 하였다. 매개효과 분석에서는 사회적 운영체제가 시장기반 운영체제가 국제화 지식역량에 미치는 영향을 긍정적으로 매개한다는 점을 확인하 였다. 또한, 국제화 지식역량이 사회적 운영체제와 수출성과 사이에 긍정적 매개효과 역할을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 실증분석 결 과에 따라 이론적 및 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.
