The COVID19 Pandemic, which has hit the world since the spring of 2020, has brought an unprecedented impact in the history of human civilization. In this context, there are practical theology challenges that pastors/preachers must address: How can God’s Word be properly and effectively proclaimed in this era when online non-face-to-face pastoral ministry and worship are emerging as a new standard? According to Richard Osmer’s Practical Theology Research Methodology', the researcher will first look at the new media ecosystem environment that was newly emerged in the 21st century and the rapid changes in the preaching environment caused by the corona pandemic. The researcher will analyze several effects of the new media ecosystem environment on the evangelism and preaching ministry. At the stage of the establishment of the norm, the standards and norms of Christian preaching work that are still valid in the New Normal era will be established based on Walter Brueggmann’s “re-imagination homiletics”. This process is conducted through the depiction and creation of a new world from the orientation stage, through the dis-orientation, and to the re-orientation using the conjunction of imagination. Orientation is a declaration that God the Creator created and blessed the whole creation and human Adam, and Eve beautifully in the beginning. Disorientation describes how terrible tragedies and misfortunes came from Adam’s sin to the whole creation of the world beautifully created by God the Creator and the people of God’s kingdom who live in that world. Walter Brueggemann’s re-imagination homiletics proceeds from disorientation stage to re-orientation stage through the connection of imagination. In this homiletical process, the gospel of the kingdom of God is proclaimed according to its original power. Audiences who listen to the sermons are provided with the driving force to live a new life in the new normal era with the help of imagination, and they can experience the wide opening of the kingdom of God in which God provides new salvation in front of them. In the final stage of the study, we will be proposed a practical strategy for effective preaching ministry in the New Normal era.

2020년 봄부터 전 세계를 강타한 ‘코로나 19 팬데믹’(COVID19 Pandemic)은 인류 문명의 역사에 선례가 없는 충격과 파장을 몰고왔다. 이러한 상황에서 목회자/설교자들이 직면한 실천신학과 설교학의 과제가 있다: 온라인을 통한 비대면 목회 사역과 예배 방식이 새로운 표준으로 정착하는 새 시대에 하나님의 말씀은 어떻게 효과적으로 선포될 수 있을까? 뉴노 멀의 시대에도 여전히 중생과 성화의 효력을 발휘하는 하나님의 말씀은 어떻게 선포될 수 있을까? 연구자는 리차드 오스머(Richard Osmer)의 ‘실천신학 연구방법론’에 따라서 먼저 21세 기에 새롭게 형성된 뉴미디어 생태계 환경과 코로나 팬데믹에 의한 설교 환경의 급격한 변화를 살펴볼 것이다. 그리고 뉴미디어 생태계 환경이 하나님의 말씀을 선포하고 전파하 는 복음전도와 설교 사역에 미친 영향을 분석할 것이다. 이어서 규범 수립의 단계에서는 월터 브루그만의 ‘재상상 설교신학’(re-imagination homiletics)에 기초하여 뉴노멀 시대 에도 여전히 유효한 기독교 설교 사역의 기준과 규범을 마련할 것이다. 이는 ‘상상력의 연결사’를 활용하여 정위와 혼미, 그리고 재정위를 통한 새로운 세상의 묘사와 창조 작업으 로 진행된다. 정위(orientation)는 창조주 하나님이 태초에 피조계와 아담 그리고 하와를 아름답게 창조하시고 이들에게 복을 주셨다는 선언이다. 정위 단계에서 혼미(disorientation) 단계로 의 진행은 창조주 하나님이 아름답게 창조한 세상 피조물과 그 세상을 살아가는 하나님 나라 백성들에게 아담의 범죄로 말미암아 끔찍한 비극과 불행이 도래하였음을 서술한다. 이어서 월터 브루그만의 재상상 설교신학의 과정은 혼미(disorentation)에서 상상력의 연 결사를 통한 재정위(reorientation)의 단계로 진행된다. 이 과정에서 하나님 나라의 복음은 그 본래의 능력대로 선포되고, 상상력의 연결사의 도움으로 뉴노멀 시대를 새롭게 살아갈 원동력을 공급받으며 설교를 듣는 청중은 자신들 앞에 하나님이 새로운 구원을 베푸시는 하나님 나라가 활짝 열리는 경험을 할 수 있다. 마지막 실천 전략의 단계에서는 뉴노멀 시대에 효과적인 설교 사역의 실제적인 전략을 제안할 것이다.
