This research analyzes the conversation that takes place at the reception of medical institutions, and analyzes and examines how code switching between common languages and dialects appears and works. According to the analysis, code switching in hospital reception and storage situations depends on various factors such as social and job attributes and roles of conversation participants, and changes in conversation themes.It was found that code switching is intentionally and actively used as a linguistic function such as changing the situation of conversation and changing the theme, expressing solidarity with the conversation partner, and adjusting the distance.

본 연구에서는 의료기관의 접수와 수납 장면의 회화를 분석하여 공통어와 방 언 간의 코드 스위칭이 어떻게 나타나며, 또 어떻게 기능하는지에 관하여 분석･ 고찰하였다. 분석의 결과, 일본의 병원 접수 창구의 회화 장면에는 다양한 코드 스위칭이 나타나며, 이러한 코드 스위칭은 회화 참가자의 사회적･직무적 속성과 역할, 회 화 주제의 변화 등 여러 요인에 따라 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 코 드 스위칭에는 회화의 상황을 전환하거나 주제를 바꾸는 등 발화문 내에서의 기 능과 함께, 대화 상대방에게 정서적인 유대감을 나타내거나 거리를 조절하는 등 화용론적 기능이라고 하는 참가자들의 의도적이고 적극적인 언어 사용 책략이 담겨 있음을 엿볼 수 있었다.
