This paper tried to analyze how novels accept and overcome ‘Horror infinite’ by looking at the multi-space perceptions revealed in Son Bomi’s novels. And in this process, we looked at how the act of talking and listening gained ethical possibilities. In Son Bomi’s novel, the multiverse is a way of recognizing the world. The multiverse has determined whether what we have thought of as the universe is all about reality or part of a more complex, large, and diverse reality. And it is problematic because we have taken the latter as a fact and achieved a global shift in perspective that our universe is just one of the many. The novel directly accepts these multi-space theories and constructs the world, or translates multiverse reasons into textual dimensions and uses them for writing. What the novel identifies through these works is that the infinite universe has led people to experience fear that their identity can be dismantled in the face of an unpredictable and ambiguous world. Son Bomi’s novel finds a way to endure this fear in individuals’ stories and listening to hospitality, not in one perfect equation. Talking still induces subjects who have not escaped from the one-point view to create a pluralistic and individual world. Listening emphasizes the ethics of the attitude of affirming a batter’s story that has nothing to do with me. The intention of these novels is also meaningful to show the way literature treats the multiverse in symmetry with the attitude of physicists studying the multiverse.

본 논문은 손보미의 소설들에 드러난 다중우주적 인식을 살펴 소설이 어 떤 방식으로 무한함을 마주하는 공포를 받아들이고 극복하는지를 분석하고 자 했다. 그리고 이 과정에서 이야기하기와 경청하기의 행위가 어떻게 윤리 적 가능성을 획득하는지를 살폈다. 손보미의 소설에서 다중우주는 세계를 인식하는 방법이다. 다중우주는 그 동안 우리가 우주라고 생각해왔던 것이 실체의 전부인지, 아니면 더 복잡하 고 크고 다양한 실체의 일부분인지를 판단했다. 그리고 후자를 사실로 받아 들여 우리 우주가 수많은 우주 중 하나에 불과하다는 세계론적 관점 전환을 이루어냈기에 문제적이다. 소설은 이런 다중우주 이론들을 직접적으로 받아들여 세계를 구성하거나, 다중우주적 사유를 텍스트의 차원으로 변용하 여 글쓰기에 이용하기도 한다. 이러한 작업을 통해 소설이 규명하는 것은 무한의 우주가 예측 불가능하 고 모호한 세계를 대면하는 자들에게 주체성이 해체될 수 있다는 공포감을 경험하게 했다는 것이다. 손보미 소설은 이 공포를 견디어 나아가는 방법을 하나의 완벽한 방정식이 아닌 개인들의 이야기와 환대의 경청에서 찾는다. 이야기하기는 여전히 일점론적 우주관에서 벗어나지 못한 주체들이 복수적 이며 개별적인 세계를 만들어 나가도록 유도한다. 경청하기는 나와 상관없 는 타자의 이야기를 있는 그대로 긍정하는 자세가 지닌 윤리성을 강조한다. 이런 소설의 의도는 다중우주를 연구하는 물리학자들의 태도와 대칭을 이 루며 다중우주를 대하는 문학만의 방법을 보여주기에 또한 의의가 있다.
