The purpose of this study was to analyze the physical activities experienced during the growth of a co-licensed female elementary school teacher, the process of forming practical knowledge about school sports, and the sources that influenced the formation of practical knowledge. This study was conducted by using autobiographical research methods by Pinar(1975). Data was collected through personal diary, life history table, and auxiliary data, and the collected data consisted of categorization by content, creation of themes, and explanation of the subject components. The results were described by dividing into ‘personal life’, ‘teaching context’, and ‘teaching experience’ by McCutcheon (1995). First, the physical education activities experienced in the process of growth became the foundation of practical knowledge. Second, the nature of practical knowledge changed according to the process of forming practical knowledge about school sports. Third, the source of practical knowledge that appeared in school sports was found in the entire life experience of the researcher, and it was meaningful both before and after the initiation of the teaching profession. In conclusion, the practical knowledge of the contents and skills of school sports formed by the researcher was influenced by personal experiences and values in childhood. At the same time, it has grown and changed amid changes in the school environment and society such as personal life, teaching context, and teaching experience.

이 연구의 목적은 한 중초 여교사의 체육교과 실천적 지식 형성과 그 형성에 영향을 준 원천을 분석하는 데 있었 다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 Pinar(1975)의 자서전적 연구 방법을 사용하여 역방향 면담, 생애 이력, 일기, 수업 일지 등의 자료를 수집하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 내용별 범주화 및 주제 생성, 주제 성분에 대한 설명의 과정을 거 쳤으며, 그 결과는 McCutcheon(1995)이 제시한 개인적인 삶, 교수적 맥락, 교수경험으로 구분하여 제시하였다. 첫째, 개인적 삶과 관련하여 성장과정의 신체활동 경험은 실천적 지식의 밑바탕이 되었다. 둘째, 교수적 맥락에서 실천적 지식의 성격은 학교체육의 실천적 지식의 형성 과정에 따라 변화하였다. 셋째, 교수경험 측면에서 학교체육 에서 발현된 실천적 지식의 원천은 연구자의 삶 전체, 즉 교직 입문 이전과 이후의 경험 모두임을 알 수 있었다. 결 론적으로 내용 지식 및 기능의 실천적 지식은 연구자 유년시절 개인 경험과 가치관에서 비롯되어 개인적 삶, 교수 맥락, 교수 경험과 같은 학교 및 사회 환경 변화에 따라 발전, 성장하였다.
