Dongkukmunheonrok which is a record of persons in Chosun times, is introduced as the edition revised by Seung Eun Kim in 1804 at Mourice Courant’s Korea Bibliography. It is recorded as typical writing in introduction on Seung Eun Kim’s typical writing at EncyKorea. In the process of research, it was found out that Dongkukmunheon was mistaken for Dongkukmunheonrok. Through this study, there were found out mingled and confused usage of some of book names when it comes to such literatures as Dongkukmunheon and Dongkukmunheonrok and bibliographical review on such findings was coducted as follows. 1. Through the investigation of bibliographical details of inherited version brosed with key words related to Dongkukmunheonrok at KORCIS, three major books of Dongkukmunheon, Dongkukmunheonrok and Dongkuksoksumunheonrok was identified. 2. In terms of scope of coverage, Dongkukmunheon covers Taejo to Sunjo (1800-1834), while Dongkukmunheonrok and Dongkuksoksumunheonrok covers Taejo to Gojoing (1863-1907). 3. Through the comparison between books as well as review on bibliographical details, it was found out that the earlier book among major books is Dongkukmunheon. 4. The differences in records on the list and recorded contents were identified through comparison of three major books. 5. According to published record, Dongkukmunheon was revised by Seung Eun Kim in 1804 and the writing by Seung Eun Kim is Dongkukmunheon. 6. It was found out that although Dongkukmunheonrok is devoid of published record, it is written later than Dongkukmunheon. And in terms of coverage scope and in terms of abridgement or information on persons, the former has more details than the latter and the 3rd book is Jodurok. 7. And it was also found out that Dongkuksoksumunheonrok is supplement and revised edition on Dongkukmunheonrok.

조선시대 인물에 대한 기록자료인 ｢東國文獻錄｣은 모리스 쿠랑의 ｢韓國書誌｣에서 1804년 김성은 교정본으 로 소개하고 있다. ｢한국민족문화대백과사전｣에서는 김성은 소개에서 ｢동국문헌록｣을 대표 저술로 기록하고 있다. 그러나 조사를 진행하면서 이는 ｢동국문헌｣을 ｢동국문헌록｣으로 오인한 것임을 발견하였다. 이에 이 연구 는 ｢東國文獻｣과 ｢동국문헌록｣ 등에 대한 이러한 일부 서명의 혼용과 혼란이 있음을 발견하고 서지적 고찰을 진행하였다. 고찰 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) ｢한국고전적종합목록｣에서 ｢동국문헌록｣ 관련어로 검색되는 현전본의 서지사항 조사를 통하여 ｢동국문 헌｣, ｢동국문헌록｣, ｢東國續修文獻錄｣의 세 주요 문헌을 밝혔다. 2) 전체적인 수록 범위를 보면, ｢동국문헌｣은 태조조부터 순조조(1800-1834)까지이며, ｢동국문헌록｣과 ｢동국 속수문헌록｣은 태조조부터 고종조(1863-1907)까지이다. 3) 현전본 서지사항 조사와 주요 문헌의 비교를 통해 가장 이른 문헌은 ｢동국문헌｣임을 밝혔다. 4) 주요 세 문헌의 비교를 통하여 목록 상의 기록과 내용 기록의 차이가 있음을 고찰하였다. 5) ｢동국문헌｣은 간기에 의하면 1804년에 김성은이 교정한 것이며, 김성은의 저술서는 ｢동국문헌｣이다. 6) ｢동국문헌록｣은 간기는 없으나 수록범위로 보아 ｢동국문헌｣보다 뒤에 이루어진 것으로 내용은 절록이나 인물의 정보 등은 보다 더 상세하고 제3책이 ｢俎豆錄｣이다. 7) ｢동국속수문헌록｣은 ｢동국문헌록｣에 대한 보유와 속수를 한 것이다.
