China has maintained its low wage level for a long period of time by acting as a processing base for developed countries, but the minimum wage standard is being raised rapidly due to government policy changes. The results show that the average wage ratio to minimum wage has been steadily declining since 2000, although it has rebounded slightly from its lowest point in 2009, but it still remained below 30%, income inequality is increasing. As a result of the analysis of coordination degree between regional wage level and economic development level for 31 provinces, most of eastern coastal areas are higher than those of Midwest and Northeast, and wage level is lower than economic growth, and the minimum wage increase is likely to be continuously revised upward. On the other hand, in the Midwest and Northeast regions, where coordination degree was low, and there is a tendency to coupling between regional wage standards and economic growth. Therefore, it is considered that the upward revision of the minimum wage standard will affect the competitiveness of Korean companies in China, and it is necessary to make continuous efforts to promote technological innovation and increase labor productivity.

중국은 선진국의 가공생산기지 역할을 담당함으로써 장기간 낮은 임금수준을 유지하였으나 정부의 정책변화에 따라 최저임금기준이 빠르게 상향조정되고 있 다. 분석결과 2000년 들어 최저임금 대비 평균임금 비율은 지속적으로 하락하 고 있으며 2009년 최저점을 기록한 이후 다소 반등하였으나 여전히 30%미만을 기록하고 있어 소득불균형 현상이 심화되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 31개 성시자치구에 대한 지역별 임금수준과 경제발전수준 사이의 조정도 분석결과, 동부 연해지역 대부분이 중서부 및 동북지역에 비해 높게 나타났으며, 임금수 준이 경제성장 수준을 하회하는 것으로 나타나 향후 최저임금 인상이 지속적으 로 상향조정 될 가능성이 크다. 반면에 조정도가 낮게 나타난 중서부 및 동북 지역의 경우 지역별 최저임금기준과 경제성장 간 동조화 경향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 지속적인 중국의 최저임금기준의 상향조정은 중국진출 우리기업의 경쟁력에 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단되며 지속적인 기술혁신을 추진하고, 노동생 산성을 높이는 노력이 필요하다.
