The United States is showing a strong will to protective tradeism for the economic revitalization of its own country, and due to this rebound, measures to strengthen protection trade in emerging countries continue. So the world economy is for the time being the direction of protectionist tradition which is expected to go on. Protective trade measures in the United States are spreading rapidly, mainly on technology barriers and sanitary and phytosanitary measures, especially among the US protection trade measures, the proportion occupied by China and South Korea is concentrated more than 80% There. Meanwhile, the Chinese government is pursuing free trade and taking a dual attitude of going back and forth between protection trade and the trade dispute between the US and China is likely to have a negative impact especially on our exports. Therefore, in this research, we identify the cause of the US-China trade dispute, and try to analyze how the protective trade measures are implemented and how it affects our economy. In the future, it is necessary to further strengthen the monitoring and post-correspondence of these protective tradeism So we should keep efforts to minimize the damage that can be made and to maximize the return profit.

미국은 자국 경제 활성화를 위하여 보호무역주의에 대한 강한 의지를 보이고 있으며 이에 따른 반발로 신흥국들의 보호무역 강화조치가 이어지면서 세계 경 제는 당분간 보호무역주의의 방향으로 나아갈 것으로 예상된다. 미국의 보호무 역조치는 기술장벽(TBT) 및 위생 및 검역(SPS) 조치를 중심으로 빠르게 확산되 고 있으며, 특히 미국의 보호무역 조치 중 중국과 한국이 차지하는 비중은 80% 이상으로 집중되어 있다. 한편, 중국 정부는 자유무역을 추구하는 동시에 보호무역을 넘나드는 이중적 태도를 취하고 있어 미국과 중국 양국가간 통상갈등은 특히 우리 수출에 부정 적 영향을 미칠 것으로 보인다. 따라서 본 연구는 미⋅중 통상갈등에 대한 원인을 파악하고 어떻게 보호무 역조치가 구체화되고 있는지 우리 경제에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하고자 한다. 앞으로 미국뿐 아니라 전세계 보호무역주의가 상당 기간 지속될 것으로 보임에 따라 이러한 보호무역주의에 대한 모니터링과 사후대처를 더욱 강화할 필요가 있으며, 우리 경제가 당면할 수 있는 피해는 최소화하고 반사이익은 최 대화하기 위한 노력을 지속해야할 것이다.
