Based on an analysis of the Asian International Input-Output Table(1990, 2000, 2013), this paper focuses on changes in Import dependency structure between China and ASEAN. Considering the industrial structures of the two countries and the structure of the trade between them, special attention was paid to the manufacturing-oriented whole industry, which were analyzed on the basis of a more detailed industrial classification than the other sectors. The empirical results showed that ASEAN depends on imported intermediate inputs from China, particularly in the Electrical and electronic, general machinery, metal products, transportation machinery, Textile and Chemical industry. These results have greatly contributed to the increase in China’s trade surplus with ASEAN, and the trade imbalance is expected to further intensify in the future.

본 연구는 1990년, 2000년, 2013년 3시점을 통해 중국⋅ASEAN 산업의 상대 국에 대한 수입의존관계와 이에 따른 생산파급효과의 구조적 특징을 고찰하는 데 중점을 두고 있으며, 실증분석은 국제산업연관분석의 균형산출모형을 도입 하여 전개하였다. 실증분석 결과, 중국과 ASEAN 모두 전기⋅전자, 금속제품, 정밀기계, 섬유 및 화학제품, 수송 및 일반기계 등 주력 수출산업에서 동일하게 상대국에 대한 수입의존도가 심화되고 있음이 관찰되었다. 특히 ASEAN의 중 국에 대한 수입의존도가 상대적으로 매우 높아 중국의 대ASEAN 무역흑자를 견인하는 구조적 요인으로 작용하고 있음이 파악되었다. 그리고 이러한 결과는, ASEAN의 대세계 수출 산업의 생산 증대는 중국으로부터의 수입 증가라는 구 조적 연관관계가 강화되고 있음을 의미하고 있어, 향후 중국⋅ASEAN간 무역 뷸균형 현상은 더욱 심화될 것으로 예상된다.
