Central & local governments of nations over the world are now pushing ahead with massive policy to foster culture industries based on the possibilities of local development caused by worldwide trend on ‘Creative Industry’ and ‘Creative Economy’ and economical ripple effect by culture industries. Among them, China has the fastest growing culture market based on the increasing consumption on culture industries due to economic boost. Worldwide attention on ‘Creative Economy’ is not only because that it creates an integrated value of art, culture, and society, but also it can create employment and wealth as well as qualitative change in national economic structure. Economic value of culture industry is being emphasized in dimension of strategic development. Especially to connect economic value of culture industry to actual local development, local government’s role is the most important. In this point of view, development of culture industry utilizing local and traditional culture resource has a major significance. Therefore, in this study, we investigate characteristics and development status of ceramic industry, major industry resource of Longquan city, Zhejiang province, China. Longquan Celadon is in the center of Chinese Ceramic industry which has progressed in limitless time for 1600 years. Especially, it had dramatically advanced through Northern & Southern Song Dynasties and Yuan Dynasty, and artistic image of ‘Longquan yao’ was established at the beginning of Southern Song Dynasty. It has progressed in concern of numerous people ever since. Six(6) circumstantial reasons for ceramic industry to continue its prosper and cluster development formated in different types play a positive role in vitalizing local economy of Longquan city.

세계적으로 ‘창조산업, ‘창조경제’등의 제시를 통한 지역발전 가능성과 함께 문화산업을 통한 경제적 파급효과에 관심이 집중되면서 문화산업의 발전을 위 한 중앙정부 및 지방정부 차원에서의 대대적인 육성정책이 추진되고 있다. 문화산업의 경제적 가치는 많은 도시에서 전략적 발전의 차원에서 강조되고 있다. 특히 문화의 경제적 가치를 실질적인 지역발전에 연결하기 위해서는 지 방정부의 적극적인 역할이 무엇보다 중요하다는 점이 강조된다. 이러한 점에서 지역별 전통문화자원을 활용한 문화산업의 발전은 중요한 의 의를 가진다. 이에 본 논문에서는 중국 절강성(浙江省)에 위치한 용천시(龙泉市)의 전통자 원인 도자기를 중심으로 도자산업의 특징 및 발전 정책을 살펴보고 지역문화산 업으로서의 발전을 위한 활성화 방안을 제시하고 있다. 도자기 산업이 지속적 인 발전을 거듭할 수 있는 6개의 환경적 요인과 유형별로 형성된 산업클러스터 의 발전은 용천시의 지역경제를 활성화시키는데 긍정적인 역할을 하고 있다. 각 도시가 가진 특징과 자원을 중심으로 이루어지고 있는 문화교류는 도자산업 세계화의 발판을 마련하였으며, 역사와 문화와 연계된 문화산업의 발전은 지역 경제 활성화에 큰 영향을 미칠 것이다.
