The purpose of this study is to explore the variables that affect the relationship between children's irrational gambling beliefs and gambling behaviors. Specifically, this study sought to verify the mediating effect of smartphone addiction on the effects of children's irrational gambling beliefs on gambling behavior and the control effect of parental attachment. To this end, questionnaires were conducted on 300 fifth and sixth graders attending five elementary schools in Seoul, and 195 copies were used for the final analysis, excluding those who had no experience in gambling behavior. The collected data were statistically processed using the SPSS 21.0 program and a bootstrapping method was added for validation of the medium effect. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, children's irrational gambling beliefs have been shown to influence gambling behavior through the medium of smartphone addiction. Second, alienation, one of the subtypes of parental attachment, has a controlling effect on the effect of children's irrational gambling beliefs on gambling behavior. Based on the results of this study, the implications and limitations of this study and suggestions for subsequent research were discussed.

본 연구의 목적은 아동의 비합리적 도박신념과 도박행동 간의 관계에 영향을 미치는 변인 들을 탐색하는 것이다. 구체적으로, 본 연구는 아동의 비합리적 도박신념이 도박행동에 미치 는 영향에 대한 스마트폰 중독의 매개효과와 부모애착의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이 를 위해 서울 소재 5개 초등학교에 재학 중인 5, 6학년 300명을 대상으로 질문지를 실시한 후, 도박행동 경험이 없는 경우를 제외한 195부를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 활용하여 통계 처리하였고, 매개효과 검증을 위해 부트스트래핑 방법 을 추가하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동의 비합리적 도박신념은 스마 트폰 중독을 매개로 도박행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동의 비합리적 도박 신념이 도박행동에 미치는 영향에 대해 부모애착의 하위 요인 중 하나인 소외감이 조절효과 를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점 및 후속 연구 를 위한 제언이 논의되었다.
