The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of antecedents and consequences on the discontinuous SNS usage intention. Also, this study examines the role of the self-disclosure in moderating the relationship between the SNS negative affect and the negative results(SNS fatigue and discontinuous SNS usage intention). Data was collected through an online research company(Embrain), targeting the current SNS users. The relationships between the variables were tested through structural equation modeling involving 572 SNS users. The moderating effects were verified using R2 differences. As a result, this study showed that the SNS negative affect was increased by the SNS alienation, privacy concern, and sunk cost. The SNS negative affect increased SNS fatigue and the discontinuous SNS usage intention. Further, this study showed that the self-disclosure positively moderated the negative results(SNS fatigue and discontinuous SNS usage intention). The results of the current study would be beneficial for understanding the mechanism underlying the development of the SNS negative affect. This study also contributes to practitioners with actionable suggestions for SNS usage policy-making.

본 연구는 SNS에 대한 부정적 감정의 영향요인과 결과요인을 도출하여, 사용자들의 SNS중단의도를 형성하는 과정을 확인하는 것이다. 그리고 SNS의 핵심 사용요인인 자기노출이 SNS에 대한 부정적 감 정에 부정적 결과를 감소시킬 수 있는지를 확인하는 것이다. 자료는 조사전문업체(엠브레인)을 통해 국 내 SNS 사용자들을 대상으로 수집하여, 최종 572부를 분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 가설은 구조방정식모델 분석을 통해 검증하였고, 자기노출의 조절효과는 R²차이를 통해 검증하였다. 분석결과, 사용자들이 SNS 활동과정에서 SNS소외감, 프라이버시 염려, 매몰비용 모두가 SNS에 대한 부정적 감 정을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났고, SNS에 대한 부정적 감정은 SNS피로감과 SNS중단의도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 다는 것이 확인되었다. 또한 사용자들의 SNS의 핵심적 이용요인인 자기노출은 SNS에 대한 부정적 감정으로 인한 부정적 결과(SNS피로감, SNS중단의도)를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이 러한 연구결과는 SNS에 대한 부정적 효과가 형성되는 과정에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있을 것이다. 또한 사용자들에게는 건전한 SNS활동을 위한 방안을 제안할 수 있고, SNS 운영기관들에게는 SNS의 확산을 위한 효과적인 운영방침을 마련하기 위한 단서로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
