Basic education on artificial intelligence is being emphasized as artificial intelligence (AI) greatly changes our lives. The purpose of this study is to design a liberal arts education program to enhance understanding and awareness of AI. To this end, we examined the current status and prior research related to AI education as a liberal arts. Besides, the issues to be considered for the design of the liberal arts education program, and directions & strategies for the design of the AI education program were drawn. Based on this, the 15th-week program was designed to teach AI in liberal arts education. Specifically, the contents, achievement standard, unplugged activities, and various educational tools based on the seven major systems of AI announced by the Korean Society for AI Education. The AI curriculum for liberal arts education proposed in this study is expected to contribute to increasing students of various majors and raising potential interest in using AI.

인공지능이 우리의 삶을 크게 변화시킴에 따라 인공지능에 대한 기초교육이 강조되고 있다. 이에 본 연구 의 목적은 인공지능에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 인식 제고를 위한 교양교육 프로그램을 설계하는 것이다. 이를 위해 인공지능 교양교육 관련 국내외 선행 연구 및 현황, 그리고 초중등교육과 고등교육에서 이루어지는 AI 교육내용을 탐색하였다. 그리고 교양교육 프로그램 설계를 위해 고려해야할 사항과 인공지능 교육 프로 그램 설계를 위한 방향과 세부 전략을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 문헌 분석을 통해 도출된 설계 방향과 세부 전략을 토대로 대학 교양교육을 위한 15주차 프로그램을 설계하였다. 구체적으로 살펴보면, 한국인공 지능교육학회에서 발표한 인공지능의 7가지 대주제를 기반으로 한 내용요소와 성취기준, 언플러그드 활동 과 다양한 교육용 도구 등으로 구성되었다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 교양교육을 위한 인공지능 교육과정은 다양한 전공의 학생들이 인공지능에 대한 폭넓은 소양을 높이고 활용할 수 있는 잠재적 관심을 높이는데 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.
