The Reformed Christian Church in Slovakia(RCCS) is a Protestant church rooted in the ecclesiastical tradition of the Reformed Church in Hungary(RCH). Due to its ethnic characteristics, the direction and goal of its mission work has been focused solely on the ethnic Hungarian community in Slovakia. This demonstrates a lack of solidarity in mission with the other Protestant churches of Slovakia and hinders the RCCS from developing a missional ecclesiology grounded on the Universal Church. The purpose of this paper, therefore, is to present missiological tasks that will aid the RCCS in becoming a missional church, transcending any cultural and ethnic boundary. This paper consists of three parts. The first surveys the history of the RCCS from the Hungarian Reformation to the Czechoslovakia era and the current Slovak Republic. It then deals with the diasporic characteristics and a critical appraisal of mission works of the RCCS. Finally it presents four missiological tasks: mission as reconciliation and forgiveness, missional church emphasizing the Reformed(Jean Calvin) theological tradition, strengthening of missiology, and ecumenical solidarity in mission with world Christianity. This paper uses literature, some other primary resources, and a personal conversation with a church historian in the RCCS. It encourages the RCCS to be a missional church, not only spreading the gospel among the ethnic Hungarian community but also among all nations regardless of their cultures and ethnics.

슬로바키아 개혁교회(The Reformed Christian Church in Slovakia) 는 헝가리 개혁교회(The Reformed Church in Hungary)에 뿌리를 두고 있는 슬로바키아 개신교회 중의 하나이다. 헝가리 민족교회의 특성 때문 에, 그 선교의 방향과 대상은 주로 슬로바키아의 헝가리 민족에 제한되었 다. 이는 곧 슬로바키아 안에서 다른 개신교회들과의 선교적 연대는 미미 하며, 보편교회에 기초한 선교적 교회론으로 나아가는 것을 방해하고 있 다. 따라서 본 논문의 목적은 슬로바키아 개혁교회가 민족교회로만 존재하 지 않고, 민족과 문화의 한계를 넘어서 선교적 교회로 나아가기 위한 선교 신학적 과제를 제시하는 것이다. 본 논문은 세 부분으로 구성된다. 우선 슬로바키아 개혁교회의 역사를 개괄한다. 헝가리 종교개혁으로부터 체코슬로바키아, 그리고 이후 슬로바 키아와 함께했던 역사적 상황에 대해 알아본다. 그다음으로 슬로바키아 개 혁교회가 디아스포라 교회의 특징을 간직하고 있음을 확인하며, 슬로바키 아 개혁교회의 선교활동에 대해 비평적으로 살펴본다. 끝으로 선교신학적 과제들, 즉 용서와 화해를 추구하는 선교, 개혁교회(깔뱅)의 선교적 교회 론, 선교신학의 강화, 세계교회와의 소통 및 에큐메니칼 협력을 제시하며 논문을 마친다. 본 논문은 주로 문헌연구를 중심으로 하되, 1차 자료 및 슬 로바키아 개혁교회 역사학자의 개인면담도 참고했다. 이 논문을 통해 슬로 바키아 개혁교회가 우선 자민족 중심의 복음화를 위해 노력하되, 또한 문 화와 민족의 경계를 뛰어넘어 모든 민족에게 복음을 전파하는 선교적 교회 가 되기를 기대해 본다.
