Nietzsche’s thoughts are well revealed in ‘overman’, ‘will to power’, and ‘the eternal recurrence of the same’. Heidegger sees the thought of return as the most important of Nietzsche’s thoughts. While analyzing Nietzsche’s main books and posthumous books, he makes it clear that the thought of return is the heaviest one. In this paper, we will pay attention to Heidegger’s interpretations of the thought of return. In particular, this article focuses on Part two of Nietzsche I ‘The Eternal Recurrence of The Same’. It attempts to examine Nietzsche and Heidegger philosophy in light of Heidegger’s position in identifying Da-sein in Temporality. Heidegger is interpreting Nietzsche’s human concept while focusing on the doctrine of return. Because Heidegger believes Nietzsche’s understanding of human beings is well revealed in the thought of return. Therefore, this article will consider the relationship between the understanding of human beings and the thought of return among Heidegger’s interpretations of Nietzsche. This will give us an opportunity to better understand the relationship between Nietzsche and Heidegger, and their thoughts.

니체의 중심 사상은 ‘초인’과 ‘힘에의 의지’ 그리고 ‘영원회귀’사상에서 잘 드러난다. 그런데 하이데거는 이러한 여러 사상들 중에서 가장 중요한 것으로 영원회귀 사상을 언급 하고 있다. 그는 니체의 주요 저서들 혹은 유고를 분석하는 가운데에서도 영원회귀 사상이 가장 무거운 사상으로서 ‘사상 중의 사상’임을 분명히 하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 니체 의 사상을 다루는 하이데거의 해석 중에서 영원회귀 사상을 주목하고자 한다. 이 글은 특히 『니체』의 제2부 ‘동일한 것의 영원회귀’를 중심으로, 시간성 속에서 현존재를 파악하 는 하이데거의 입장에 비추어 니체와 하이데거 철학을 검토하려 한다. 하이데거는 영원회 귀를 중점적으로 논의하면서 니체의 인간개념을 해석하고 있다. 왜냐하면 하이데거는 영 원회귀 사상 속에서 니체의 인간이해가 잘 드러난다고 보기 때문이다. 따라서 이 글은 하이데거의 니체해석 중에서 인간에 대한 이해와 영원회귀 사상의 관계를 고찰할 것이다. 이를 통하여 우리는 니체와 하이데거의 관계 및 그들의 사상을 좀 더 이해할 수 있는 계기를 마련할 수 있지 않을까 기대한다.
