Yi Sun-shin lived in the period of absolute monarchy, so it was a time when we could not talk about the concept of equality in society. However, Yi Sun-shin's words and actions presupposed equality, and this stream of consciousness created Yi Sun-shin. Since I saw people as people, there were many people around Yi Sun-shin, and whenever I was in a difficult situation, I tried to save Yi Sun-shin. It is equality to treat people as people. In this study, the concept of equality was viewed as the equality of love, sincerity, communication, and initiative, not the equality of opportunity, condition, and result, considering the historical situation. In this paper, I analyzed the leadership based on Yi Sun-shin's sense of equality as First, it is a love that focuses on morale of subordinates and eliminates discrimination in status and status. Second, it is a form of devotion to understand and solve the pain and difficulties of the people. Third, it is a form of communication that talks and shares information without consciousness between longevity and soldiers. Fourth, it is the leader who took the lead and led the command when the emergency approached. Here is the secret to Admiral Yi Sun-shin's fleet of minimizing damage during the incessant planned attacks of the Korean War during the seven-year war between Imjin War and Byeongja Horan. Yi Chung Muong won the battle that was impossible because of equality of love, sincerity, communication, and initiative.

이순신이 살았던 시기는 절대왕정 시대였으므로 사회적으로 평등 개념을 이야기 할 수 없는 때였다. 그러나 이순신의 말과 행동에는 ‘평등의식’이 전제되어 있었고 이 러한 의식의 흐름이 이순신의 사람들을 만들어냈다. 사람을 사람으로서 보았기에 이 순신의 주변에는 인물들이 많았고 어려운 상황에 처했을 때마다 각자가 손수 나서서 이순신을 구명하기에 애를 썼다. 사람을 사람으로 대한다는 것이 바로 ‘평등’인 것이 다. 본 연구에서는 시대적 상황을 고려하여 ‘평등’의 개념을 기회·조건·결과의 평등이 아닌 사랑·정성·소통·솔선의 평등으로 바라보았다. 본고에서는 이순신의 평등의식에 기반한 리더십을 다음과 같이 분석하였다. 첫째, 부하들의 사기에 힘을 쏟고 항상 다독이며 신분과 지위에 차별을 없애는 ‘사랑의 모 습’이다. 둘째, 백성들의 아픔과 어려움을 이해하고 해결해 주기 위해 노력하는 ‘정성 의 모습’이다. 셋째, 장수와 군졸 간의 격의 없이 이야기하고 정보를 공유하는 ‘소통의 모습’이다. 넷째, 위급함이 다가올 때 항상 최일선에서 앞장서며 지휘를 이끌어 간 ‘솔 선의 모습’이다. 이순신 장군의 함대가 임진왜란과 병자호란의 7년 전쟁 기간 동안에 왜적의 계획 된 끊임없는 공격에도 피해를 최소화하여 전승을 이룰 수 있었던 비결이 바로 여기에 있다. 이충무공의 사랑, 정성, 소통, 솔선의 평등의식을 통해 그야말로 불가능해 가까 웠던 전투를 이기고 조국 조선을 구했다.
