This thesis researches the strategies of Hwang, Ji-woo’s deconstructive poetry, and also the changing awareness of time in the 20th century. And the 1980s when his deconstructive poetry was published, was the time of disillusionment with the military dictatorship that horribly suppressed the 5.18 Gwangju Democratization Movement by force. The parodies and satires frequently used in the collection of his poetry 󰡔Birds Also Leave The World󰡕 were the poetic devices to help readers to face up to the gloomy and depressed social reality in which all the linguistic communication systems including the media were cut off. And the nihilism and existential consciousness reflected to ｢A Lotus Blossom Inside A Crab’s Eye｣ are pointing out the illusion contained in the linguistic epistemology, which could be verified through the fact of becoming the ‘Cancer’ by climbing up a ladder, mentioned by Wittgenstein in ｢Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus｣. At the same time, a poem ｢One Day, I Will Sit In A Cloudy Bar｣ reflects the fact of living in more peaceful era compared to the 1980s. However, the oneself sitting in the ‘cloudy bar’ reflects the nihilism and existential consciousness about life as it is not the life anxiously waiting for. This point has been deeply analyzed.

이 논문은 황지우의 해체시가 취했던 전략과 함께 변화되고 있던, 20세 기의 시대인식에 대해 천착하고 있다. 그리고 그가 해체시를 발표했던 1980년대는 군부독재 정권이 5ㆍ18광주민주화운동을 강압적인 무력으로 진압했던 환멸의 시대였다. 그로 인해 『새들도 세상을 뜨는구나』의 시집에 서 빈번하게 사용되고 있던 패러디와 풍자는 매스컴을 비롯한 모든 언어의 소통체계가 단절된 상태에서 암울하고 우울했던 사회적 현실을 독자가 직 시할 수 있도록 하기 위한 시적장치였다. 그리고 『게 눈 속의 연꽃』에서 반영된 허무주의와 실존의식은 언어적 인식론이 내포하고 있던 허상에 대해 지적하고 있다. 그 점은 비트겐슈타인 이 ｢논리철학논고｣에서 언급하고 있던 ‘사다리’ 타고 올라 ‘게좌’가 되었다고 하는 점을 통해 확인할 수 있다. 그와 동시에 ｢어느 날 나는 흐른 주점에 앉아 있을 거다｣라고 하는 시에서는 1980년대보다 평화로운 시대 속에서 살아가고 있음을 반영한다. 하지만 ‘흐린 주점’에 앉아있는 자신을 통해 1980년대와 별반 다르지 않다는 현실인식을 통해 인생에 대한 허무주의와 실존의식을 반영하고 있다. 이 점에 대한 심도 깊은 분석을 하였다.
