[Purpose] This study set out to examine ball distance and direction according to the putter types and impact points at strokes and provide basic data for the methods of choosing a putter and giving putting instructions to improve performance applicable to the golf course. [Method] Heel-toe and face-balanced putters were used along with a pendulum putting machine on an artificial mat(length: 2000cm, width: 150cm) for 20 strokes at the center of putter face, one inch to the heel direction from the putter center, and one inch to the toe direction from the putter center each. [Result] There were also significant differences in main effects according to impact points. The post hoc test results show that the sweet spot had the longest distance along the X axis, being followed by the heel and toe in the order. There were significant interactions between the putter types and impact points in relation to the Y axis direction. Significant differences were found according to the putter types in an independent t-test and in main effects according to impact points. The post hoc test results indicate the toe had the longest distance along the Y axis, being followed by the sweet spot and heel in the order. [Conclusion] These findings suggest that the putter types and the impact points of strokes have impacts on ball distance and direction.

[목적] 본 연구는 퍼팅 스트로크 시 퍼터의 형태와 임팩트지점에 따른 볼의 거리 및 방향을 확인하여 경기력 향상을 위한 퍼터선택 방법과 퍼팅 지도방법의 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. [방법] 인조매트(길이2000cm, 폭 150cm) 에서 진자퍼팅머신를 사용하여 힐-토우와 페이스 밸런스드퍼터로 퍼터 페이스의 중앙, 퍼터중앙에서 힐 방향으로 1 인치, 퍼터중앙에서 토우 방향으로 1인치를 각각 20회의 스트로크를 진행 하였다. [결과] 연구결과 X축의 거리와 관 련하여 퍼터형태와 임팩트 위치의 상호작용이 유의하게 나타났다. 퍼터의 형태에 따른 독립 t-검증에서 유의한 차이 가 나타났다. 임팩트지점에 따라서 주 효과에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 사후검정결과 X축방향의 거리에서 스위 트스팟, 힐, 토우 순으로 더 크게 나타났다. Y축의 방향과 관련하여 퍼터형태와 임팩트지점의 상호작용이 유의하게 나타났다. 퍼터의 형태에 따른 독립 t-검증에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 임팩트지점에 따라서 주 효과에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 사후검정결과 Y축으로 토우, 스위트스팟, 힐 순으로 더 크게 나타났다. [결론] 위 결과를 통해 퍼 터의 형태와 스트로크 시 접촉되는 지점이 볼의 거리 및 방향에 영향을 주는 것으로 판단된다.
