The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between teachers' participation in professional development(PD) and students' class understanding. Expecially, adopting OECD(2015)'s categorizes, this study divided PD forms into two: school PD and non-school PD, and explored the effect of school PD and investigated what medicated the effect of school PD. Gyeonggi Education Panel Study was utilized in this study, and path analysis model was employed to explore the hypothesized structure. The results showed that teachers' autonomy on their class and social resource are significantly connected to teachers' participation in school PD. Second, teacher evaluation policy, autonomy on their class, and social resource have positive and significant effect on teachers' self-efficacy through teachers' participation in school PD. Third, teachers' participation in school PD has positive impact on students' class understanding through teacher self-efficacy. In other words, teacher self-efficacy mediated the relationship between school PD and students' outcome. Based on the results of this study, the researchers suggest that we need to construct and provide "teacher-centered PD" system for teachers in the near future.

본 연구는 교사의 연수 참여가 교사효능감을 매개로 학생의 수업이해도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 특히 거시적인 관점에서 교사 연수의 유형을 구분하고 그 영향력을 알아보기 위 해 교사 연수를 학교연수와 학교 밖 연수로 구분하였고, 학교연수에 초점을 맞추어 그 영향 력의 경로를 분석하였다. 분석자료로는 경기교육종단연구에 포함된 7차년도 교사 대상 데이 터를 활용하였으며, 본 연구에서 제시한 변인들 간 관계를 탐색하기 위해 경로분석 모델(Path analysis)을 활용하였다. 주요 연구결과로는, 첫째, 교사 자율성 및 사회적 자원은 교사의 학교 연수 참여와 통계적으로 유의한 연관성이 있었다. 둘째, 교사평가 참여, 교사 자율성, 사회적 자원은 교사의 학교연수 참여를 매개로 하여 교사효능감에 미치는 영향이 통계적으로 유의하 였다. 셋째, 교사의 학교연수 참여는 교사효능감을 매개로 하여 교사가 인식한 학생의 수업이 해도에 정적이고 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 거시적 관점에 서 연수 유형별 효과를 분석하려는 학문적 노력이 이루어져야 하며, 이를 토대로 학교 현장 에서는 교사들에게 실질적 도움이 될 수 있는 “교사 중심 연수” 시스템이 구축될 필요성을 제안한다.
