Pedagogical agents have been developed to solve the problem of learners being psychologically isolated when using multimedia learning. This study wanted to know how the face of the pedagogical agent attractiveness plays an important role in interacting with the user, and how the learner's teancity has a moderating effect. To that end, 28 students at the university were sur-veyed and tested, and the experimenter solved the English problem in an interactive interface with the pedagogical agent. As a result, the agent attractiveness and the motivation and tenacity are correlated with each other, and the agent attractiveness had a positive effect on the motivation and the tenacity had no significant effect. In other words, high agent attractiveness improves learner motivation, but tenacity has not affected. Through this, this study is expected to help research multimedia learning using agent-based interfaces that reflect the appearance of agents.

학습자는 멀티미디어 학습할 때 심리적으로 고립돼 학습 동기가 떨어지는데 이를 해결하고자 학 습용 에이전트가 개발되었다. 이 연구는 학습용 에이전트의 요소 중 얼굴이 사용자와 상호작용하는 데 중요한 역할을 하는데 학습용 에이전트의 얼굴의 매력도가 학습자의 동기에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 알고자 했으며 학습자의 끈기가 조절 효과를 가지는지 알고자 했다. 이를 위해서 대학교에 재학 중인 28명을 대상으로 설문과 실험을 했으며, 실험자는 학습용 에이전트와 함께 대화형 인터페이스에서 영 어 문제를 풀고 나서 설문을 했다. 그 결과 에이전트의 매력도와 학습자의 동기와 끈기는 서로 상관 되어 있으며, 에이전트의 매력도는 동기에 긍정적인 효과가 있었고 끈기는 조절 효과가 없었다. 즉, 에 이전트의 매력도가 높으면 학습자의 동기가 향상되지만, 끈기는 영향을 미치지 못했다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 에이전트의 외모가 반영된 에이전트 기반 인터페이스를 활용한 멀티미디어 학습 연구에 도움 이 될 것으로 기대한다.
