Sonwa Choi Seok-hang is one of the characters who led the political situation of the day at the center of the soron faction in the late Joseon Dynasty. He spent 45 years in office during his 71-year career trying to keep the existence of the soron faction. Due to these activities, Choi Seok-hang had a high political status as one of the four ministers of the Kyongjong era, but suffered a constant political plight even after his die. This study is to confirm his persuasion strategy through Choi Seok-hang's ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣ and to examine the meaning of ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣. The ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣ consisting of all nine paragraphs begins with the indication of the logical problems of the Daericheongjeong(代理聽政) decision of Kyongjong. And criticism of Kyongjong, appeal using the late king and crown prince's mind, provocation through criticism and self-emotion, and the error of raising the problem itself and the profit of Bimangi(備忘記) return are concluded. The development of the point of an argument in ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣ depends on the reaction of the conversation partner Kyongjong. This is the conversation strategy Choi Seok-hang chose to get the answer he wanted from Kyongjong. When you look at ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣, which records the stories that Choi Seok-hang met with Kyongjong, you can feel the feeling of Choi Seok-hang, who was desperate at the time. However, Choi Seok-hang's ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣ was made by his own choice, but if you look at the series of political decisions made after this, this is in line with Kyongjong's intention and it can be said that Kyongjong has made a basis for his future action. The bold political actions after the meeting with Choi Seok-hang allow Choi Seok-hang's ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣ to read the political confidence given to Kyongjong. In this regard, Choi Seok-hang's ｢Cheongdae(請對)｣ is meaningful not only as a political persuasion strategy but also as an important material to understand the back of the political history of the day.

손와 최석항은 조선 후기 소론계열의 중심에서 당대 정국을 주도했던 인물의 한 사람이다. 그는 71년의 생애 동안 45년을 관직에 있으면서 소 론계열의 존립을 지키기 위해 노력했다. 이와 같은 활동으로 인해 최석 항은 경종대의 소론 4대신 중 한 사람으로 꼽힐 만큼 높은 정치적 위상 을 누렸지만, 운명 이후 지속적인 곤경을 겪었다. 이 글은 최석항의 ｢청 대｣를 대상으로 그의 설득 전략을 확인하고 ｢청대｣가 지닌 의미를 살펴 보고자 한 것이다. 모두 9단락으로 구성된 ｢청대｣는 경종의 대리청정 결정이 지닌 논리 적 문제점의 지적을 시작으로 경종에 대한 비판과 선왕과 왕세제의 마 음을 이용한 호소, 비판을 통한 도발과 자기감정의 토로를 거쳐 왕세제 청정요구 자체의 문제와 비망기 환수의 이익 제시로 마무리된다. ｢청대 ｣의 논지 전개 방법은 대화의 상대인 경종의 반응에 따라 바뀌는데, 이 런 방법은 경종에게서 원하는 답을 얻기 위해 최석항이 선택한 대화 전 략이다. 최석항의 ｢청대｣를 보면 당시 절박했던 최석항의 심정을 그대로 느낄 수 있다. 하지만 이 이후 이루어진 일련의 정치적 결정들을 살펴보면, 최석항의 ｢청대｣는 그 스스로의 선택에 따른 것이지만 경종의 의도에 부합하는 것으로 경종의 행동 근거를 만들어준 것이라고 할 수 있다. 최 석항과의 면대 이후 이루어진 경종의 과단한 정치적 결정들은 최석항의 ｢청대｣가 경종에게 준 자신감을 읽을 수 있게 한다. 그런 점에서 최석항 의 ｢청대｣는 정치적 설득 전략뿐만 아니라 당대 정치사의 이면을 이해 하는 중요한 자료로 의미를 지닌다.
