Increasing the share of the national pension in the stock market necessarily directly or indirectly affects corporate decision-making. The national pension plays an essential role in corporate governance as an institutional investor, and its role also varies from stewardship codes, institutional investor activism, and surveillance roles. This study aims to reveal the connection between the fund management of the National Pension Fund and corporate financial performance. In particular, the purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the national pension's share in the ownership structure of individual companies on various financial performances and management behaviors of companies. As a result of the analysis, both the Q model and the GG model showed that the national pension stake had a significant effect on tangible asset investment, and it was the same when adding financial variables. In addition, as a result of examining the effect of the National Pension Fund's share on financial performance, it was found to be significant when the national pension stake exceeds 0%, but not more than 5% or more than 10%.

국민연금기금이 우리나라 경제 내에서 가계 총저축 규모와 비교할 때 큰 비중을 차지하고 있고, 앞으로도 비중이 증가할 것으로 비추어 볼 때, 국민연금의 납입, 자금 및 자산 운용에서 행태변화는 금융시장과 더불어 거시경제 전반에도 큰 영향을 미칠 것으로 보인 다. 주식시장에서 국민연금의 지분비율이 증가하는 것은 직간접적으로 기업의 의사결정 에 영향을 미칠 가능성이 높다. 국민연금은 기관투자자로서 기업지배구조에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 그 역할도 스튜어드십코드, 기관투자자 행동주의, 감시역할 등 다양 하다. 본 연구는 국민연금기금의 자금운용과 기업 재무성과와의 연관성을 밝히고자 한다. 특히, 개별기업의 소유구조에서 국민연금의 지분율이 기업의 다양한 재무성과 및 경영행 태에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 분석 결과 Q모형과 GG모형 모두에서 국민연금 지분율이 유형자산투자에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 재무변수를 추가하였 을 때도 동일한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 국민연금기금지분율이 재무성과에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 국민연금 지분율이 0%를 초과하였을 때는 유의미하였지만, 5% 이상, 10% 이상일 경우에는 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 국민연금지분율이 전략적 상황에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았을 때 대부분 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
