Toodles – Autonomous Drone System with Exact Drop-off Point in View of COVID-19

The exponential increase of COVID-19 cases around the world has yielded out one of the biggest concerns regarding health care. Keeping this view in mind, we have tried to resolve this issue by by exploring the transport opportunities in the vertical length above the lane. Drones are aerial robots that fly in different conditions and areas, also known as unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), and can perform various missions. In the past few years, drone distribution has been a trending subject in the field. Current techniques target either remote areas or rely on consolidated drop-off locations from which the final mile distribution is carried out. We address the dilemma of autonomous lastmile distribution in urban environments using an off-the-shelf drone in this article. Toodles is a freight delivery drone designed to land and take off vertically, have the address of the customer to carry the cargo and deliver the cargo packet. We also built a device which can use GPS to travel to the approximate delivery destination and then locate the exact drop-off spot. APM 2.8 - A common and stable commercial flight control system, due to its open-source software, its availability and its ample networking opportunities for additional peripherals, is chosen to provide the sensing and control functions. The flight controller, propeller and brushless motors are the main components of the machine.
