In this study, an Educational Programs on Agriculture for adolescent was developed, which is to provide an opportunity to experience agriculture and rural areas. After analyzing the preceding research, Mager, & Beach(1967)’s educational program development model of was selected, and based on this, step-by-step research procedures such as ‘preparation-development-improvement’ were performed. Through this research procedure, an agricultural heritage education program called “My Agricultural Heritage Explorer” was developed. This program is planned to be operated through a system called ‘free school year’ for middle school students, and its purpose is to secure opportunities for stable agricultural education through public education. And ‘My Agricultural Heritage Explorer’ is based on the ESD instructional model, and it is composed of programs focusing on thematic activities in the fields of environment, economy, society and culture. Therefore, ‘My Agricultural Heritage Exploration’ was developed as a model for school-community education. Although it was developed as a 34th class program, it was configured as a modular program by subject activity so that it can be flexibly utilized according to the educational conditions of each region and school.

본 연구에서는 청소년의 농업ㆍ농촌에 대한 무관심과 몰이해, 그리고 그 배경으로서 농업ㆍ농촌 의 경험 기회가 제한되는 현실에 문제 의식을 갖고 관련 교육 기회를 확보하고자 농업교육프로그램 을 개발하였다. 선행연구 분석을 통해 교육프로그램 개발 모형을 설정하고, 이에 기준하여 ‘준비-개 발-개선’의 단계별 연구 절차를 수행하였으며, 이상의 절차를 통해 농업유산을 소재로 한 농업교육 프로그램 ‘나의 농업유산 탐험기’를 개발하였다. 준비단계에서는 농업유산에 대한 현장/면담 조사를 통해 교육 자료를 수집하였다. 개발단계에서는 지속가능발전교육의 전문가를 중심으로 워크숍과 현 장 답사를 실시하였으며, 마지막 개선단계에서는 전문가 서면 자문을 통해 프로그램을 최종 보완하 였다. 해당 프로그램은 지속가능발전교육의 수업 모델에 기초하였으며, 이에 따라 환경, 경제, 사 회, 문화 영역의 주제 활동 중심의 프로그램으로 구성하였다. 또한 중학생을 대상으로 한 자유학년 제를 기반으로 운영되는 프로그램으로서 34차시 프로그램으로 개발하였으나 지역ㆍ학교별 교육 여 건에 따라 유연하게 활용 가능하도록 주제 활동별 모듈식 프로그램으로 구성하였다. 본 연구는 농 업의 다원적 기능을 체계적으로 학습할 수 있는 농업교육 프로그램을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 가지며, 특히 교육 소재로서 농업유산의 가치에 주목하였다는 점에서 학술적 가치가 있다. 또한 중 학교 자유학년제의 확대 시행과 같은 교육 환경의 변화에 선제적으로 대응한 연구라는 점에서 시의 적절하다.
