This study aims to suggest a Korean method of consilience through a comparison between improvisational creativity of folk dance and postmodern dance in the era of consilience. The process of solving problems and showing creativity through improvisation in the uncertain world in modern society is similar to that of expressing creativity through improvisation in the art field. The emphasis on improvisation in folk dance and postmodern dance leads to an emphasis on presentness and becomes an improvisation dance that invites the audience to participate in the stage. According to view difference in recognizing the present, however, folk dance emphasizes fun and excitement centering on sensibility, and postmodern dance has cognitive properties in a way that opposes reason. In order to invite participation, the folk dance aimed to become a dance for everyone in enjoying the movement and controlling the competence of the skill with the simplicity of beauty and the “movement of the technique of non-technique” Postmodern dance brought 'extension of movement language' through daily movements, which could not have been a movement in a dance work in the past. The importance of improvisation is recognized as an emphasis on the presentity of folk dance and postmodern dance, but the goal differs by the difference in how to accept the present. By accepting the difference in folk dance’s improvisational creativity method, it does not control the change, but enjoy the change itself. Interaction with different fields is a difficult problem. The characteristic of folk dance that actively completes theatricals through a difference rather than a simple technical and functional approach, can be a Korean methodology for consolidation.

본 연구는 통섭의 시대 민속춤과 포스트모던댄스의 즉흥 창의성 비교를 통해 한국적 통섭 방법을 제 언하고자 한 연구이다. 불확실한 현대에서 즉흥을 통해 현실의 문제를 해결하고 창의성을 발휘하는 과정 은 예술 분야에서 즉흥을 통해 창의성을 발현하는 과정과 흡사하다. 민속춤과 포스트모던댄스에서 나타 나는 즉흥의 강조는 곧 현재성에 대한 강조로 연결되어 관객을 무대에 참여하게 하는 즉흥 춤이 된다. 그런데 현재를 인식하는 관점의 차이에 따라 민속춤은 감성을 중심으로 흥과 신명을 중시하고, 포스트모 던댄스는 이성을 반대하는 방식으로 인식적 속성을 띤다. 참여를 이끌어내기 위해 민속춤은 단순미와 ‘무기교의 기교의 움직임’으로 기량의 역량을 조절하고 움직임을 향유하는 데 있어 모두의 춤이 되길 지 향했다. 포스트모던댄스는 이전에 무용 작품 움직임이 될 수 없었던, 일상 움직임을 통해서 ‘움직임 언어 의 확장’을 가지고 왔다. 민속춤과 포스트모던댄스의 현재성에 대한 강조로 즉흥의 중요성에 대해 인식 하고 있지만, 그 현재를 어떻게 받아들일 것인지에 대한 차이에 의해 지향성에 차이가 난다. 민속춤 즉흥 창의성 방식은 각각의 차이를 받아들이면서, 변화를 제어하는 것이 아닌 변화 자체가 되어 즐기는 것에 있었다. 서로 다른 분야와의 통섭이란 어려운 문제이다. 단순한 기술적, 기능적 접근이 아닌 다름을 통해 오히려 적극적으로 연희를 완성하는 민속춤의 특성은 통섭을 위한 한국적 방법론이 될 수 있다. 본 연구 의 방법으로는 민속춤과 포스트모던댄스의 즉흥을 살펴봄으로써 즉흥을 표현하는 방식을 파악하고 즉흥 의 기법이 되는 관객의 참여 움직임, 예술가의 움직임, 포스트모던댄스의 접촉즉흥을 민속춤 접촉즉흥의 방식과 비교의 방식으로 연구를 진행한다. 그리고 그 유사점과 차이점을 비교해 한국만의 즉흥 창의적 특성을 파악하고 통섭과 관련해 제언한다.
