This study explores the anti-Japanese struggles and press activities of An Chae-Hong. It is helpful to do this to gain an understanding of the resistance to Japan of him. The results from the current study reveal the following: First, An Chae-Hong purported to the collaboration with Left and Right with the Right Nationalism perspective. And his though and movement were continued after the United States Military Government and the New Government. Because of his unyielding nationalism, he was placed nine times under arrest during the Japanese colonial period. We can find his anti-Japanese struggle on his Chosun Il-bo’s activities. An Chae-Hong leaded “the Innovation Chosun Il-bo” as a CEO, and then produced friction with Japan. So, we can make evaluate his press activities as an Anti-Japanese Struggle.

이 연구는 민세 안재홍의 일제저항과 항일 언론활동을 고찰하였다. 민세 안재홍은 진보적인 우익 민족주의 입장에서 좌우합작 혹은 중도정치론을 주장하였다. 일제하 민세가 주로 활동한 정치사회단체는 민족협동전선으 로써 좌우합작을 통한 민족주의 운동단체였다. 그리고 이러한 사상적 행 보는 미군정 시기와 단독정부 수립 이후에도 이어진다. 민세는 일제로부 터 9차례 구속되었는데, 이것은 일제 35년 동안 민세가 비타협적인 우익 민족주의 입장을 견지함으로써 일제와의 마찰의 결과였다. 민세의 항일활 동은 그의 <조선일보>의 활동에서도 찾을 수 있다. 민세는 ‘혁신 조선일 보’ 시기 <조선일보>의 사장을 역임하면서 일제와 마찰을 겪었다. ‘혁신 조선일보’를 이끌었던 <조선일보>의 핵심 편집진이었던 민세의 언론활동 역시 항일 민족운동으로 평가할 수 있다.
