Kierkegaard argued that his authorship was "poetic" and he was "a poet". Maybe The tension between a poet and a pastor made Kierkegaard give himself to study the role and the task of a poet. And he thus studied elaborately "poetry" and "poetic" comprehensively based on his existential view of art. As a result, these insights and understanding of his came to work as the ground of his methodology of communication. In this treatise, I worked out a preliminary study for understanding Kierkegaard's character of "poet" and "poetry". Especially, I aimed to examine the peculiarity of Kierkegaard's thoughts, to put it concretely, his philosophical anthropology, stages of existence, the concept of actuality, and the character of imagination as possibility, and next, work out the preliminary study on Kierkegaard's existential philosophy as phenomenology of possibility.

키르케고르는 자신의 저작이 “시적”이며 자신은 “시인”이라고 주장하였다. 아마도 시인과 목사 사이의 긴장이 키르케고르로 하여금 시인의 역할과 과제에 종사하게 만들었을 것이다. 바로 이런 이유로 그는 자신의 실존철학적 예술관에 입각해서 포괄적인 의미에서의 “시”와 “시적인 것”을 정치하게 연구하였다. 그리고 이러한 그의 통찰과 이해는 전달의 방법에 대한 그의 이론의 기초로 작용하게 된다. 논자는 본고를 통해 키르케고르가 이해하는 “시인”과 “시”의 성격을 이해하기 위한 예비 작업을 진행하고자 한다. 특히 키르케고르의 사상의 특성, 구체적으로 말하자면, 철학적 인간학, 실존의 단계, 현실성의 개념, 그리고 가능성의 성격 등을 고찰하여 가능성의 현상학으로서의 키르케고르 철학에 대한 예비 작업을 수행하는 것이 본고의 목적이다.
