Kant specified the traditional concept on a priori knowledge by giving it to necessity and university. In particular, he showed the possibility of synthetic a priori knowledge. It's necessity is not the logical, formal necessity of analytic judgements but the material necessity in any compulsion of the mind. According to Kant, a priori form in mind brings to be necessary into them. such form in mind is compulsive. What is a priori is necessary because it compels the mind' acceptance. Lewis explained the a priori that it represents an attitude in some sense freely taken, stipulation of mind itself, and a stipulation which might be made in some other way if it suited our bent or need. According to Lewis, the a priori is independent of experience not because it prescribes a form which the data of sense must fit, or anticipates some pre-established harmony of experience with the mind, but precisely because it prescribes nothing to experience. It concerns the uncompelled initiative of mind or our categorical ways of acting. Therefore, none of a priori knowledges is beyond the possibility of alteration and does not have a necessity. Quine argued that there can be no such thing as a priori knowledge in his epistemic holism. all knowledge is to some degree empirical. Since no sentence is immune to revision, there is no necessary truth either. Consequently, we must give up the conception that a priori knowledge must be necessary. it is not certain that a priori knowledge must be necessary. To be necessary, it is required other source. Thus we must have a loosed concept or definition of a priori knowledge without necessity. We can find it in Hamlyn and Moser' definition. In particular, Moser' concept of minimal a priori knowledge does not requires necessary belief, irrevisable belief, self-evidence belief, or innate concepts.
