In the late 19th century, the era of domestic troubles and external threats, the Kiho school became diversified and each offshoots presented various and characteristic neo-confucian ideologies. The representative neo-confucians of Kiho school, Lee Hangro and Ki Jungjin, overcame the abuses of Horak debate of Kiho school of the 18th century, and tried to sublate several points of disputes by their extensive study. Especially, Ki Jungjin had pointed out the problems of Horak debate in his book, Napryangsaeui, and tried to overcome the dispute by characteristic analysis on li-yi-fen-shu from his early days. However, after the Ki Jungjin's death, the collections of his works were published and disputes were raised on hiss neo-confucianism. Jeonwoo was one of the representative critics and criticised Ki Jungjin's neo-confucian theories in his writings. This article examined Jeonwoo's criticism on Napryangsaeui which was one of the hottest neo-confucian disputes of Ki Jungjin's neo-confucian theories, and the Yuinseuk's counter-criticism. Dealing with several disputes in Horak debate, the arguments, which were raised by Jeonwoo, on the similarity and dissimilarity of the formation of the world and the principles of the formation were centrally examined in this article. By this examination, the theoretical basis of Yuinseuk's practical activities can be revealed.

韓末 기호학계는 內憂外患의 시기를 맞아 다양한 학파의 분화와 이에 따른 특징적인 성리설의 제기가 이어졌다. 특히 대표적인 성리학자인 화서 이항로나 노사 기정진은 18세기 이후 기호학계의 최대 논쟁이었던 湖洛論爭이 빚어낸 폐단을 극복하고, 이 논쟁에서 제기된 여러 논쟁점을 비판적으로 극복하고 지양하고자 하는 학문적 노력을 기울였다. 특히 노사는 일찍부터 「납량사의」를 통해 호락 양론의 문제점을 지적하고, 이일분수에 대한 특징적인 해석을 통해 이 논쟁을 극복하고자 하였다. 하지만 그의 사후 문집발간을 계기로 그의 성리설에 대한 논란이 제기되었고, 간재 전우는 일련의 저술을 통해 노사의 성리설을 비판하였다. 본고는 20세기 초반 기호학계의 최대 논란 중 하나인 노사의 성리설에 대한 논쟁 중에서 「납량사의」에 대한 간재 전우의 비판과 이에 대한 의암 유인석의 반비판을 검토한 것이다. 호락논변에서 제기된 여러 주제를 검토하면서, 특히 간재 전우에 의해 제기된 세계 구성의 동일성과 차별성 및 그것의 원리에 대한 논의를 집중적으로 고찰하였고, 이를 통해 의암의 실천적인 활동의 이론적 근거를 고찰하고자 하였다.
