In this study deals with the characteristics and evaluation system of community based services in Japan. This paper has compared some evaluation systems of the social service in Japan, and were derived about characteristics of assessment system for community based services. The evaluation system of community based services is set above the service provider designation standard. And, the Third party evaluation system for welfare services implements the basic guidelines for services. The assessment is made with the contents of organizational manatement and service implementation. On the other hand, the evaluation system of community based services are evaluated by reflecting the characteristics of the provider rather than the service system.
