I will discuss on how desire makes relations to an attitude of shamelessness that has been prevailed today. A mechanism of desire produces narcissistic phenomena making difficulities to communicate with others. Nevertheless, the reason one blames for the attitude of shamelessness is because it implies not only a lack of communication but also a hostile attitude toward others. Thus, each agent should be able to convert power of desire to more positive vector via cultivation of self-reflection, which leads us to realize that human beings are incomplete. In order to find possibility to communicate with others as well as to admit them positively, I will pay attention to the word of impudence Sloterdijk proposes.

오늘날 우리의 일상에 미만한 후안무치한 행태들이 욕망과 어떻게 연관되어 있는지 논하고자 한다. ‘맹목성’과 ‘자기인식의 결여’로 요약할 수 있는 욕망의 작동방식은 타자와의 소통을 어렵게 하는 자기애적 병리현상을 낳는다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리가 그런 문제들을 후안무치하다고 비난하는 까닭은 단지 소통의 부재만이 아니라 후안무치함이 타자에 대한 적극적이며 적대적인 ‘태도’의 문제라는 데서 기인한다. 우선 각각의 행위자는 자기 자신의 불완전함에 대한 반성적 성찰을 통해서 욕망의 힘을 긍정적 방향으로 전환시킬 수 있어야 한다. 더불어 실감 있는 타자의 존재를 긍정하고 소통의 새로운 가능성을 모색하기 위한 하나의 시도로써 슬로터다이트가 제안한 또 다른 종류의 ‘뻔뻔함’에 주목하고자 한다.
