In this paper, I first interpret the struggle for the right to the city of sexual minority in Seoul not as an struggle for the civil rights, but as an struggle for the civil solidarity. According to the theory of recognition of Axel Honneth, solidarity is a form of recognition, in which people bind each other not only equally, but also differently and not only cognitively, but also affectively. And then I try to reconstruct a concept of post-traditional solidarity, introducing Honneth’s concepts of formal Sittlichkeit and post-traditional community. On the basis of this concept of solidarity, I argue that citizens could be responsible to each other only when they could reflect on their communal value horizon through their alterity and social changes. Finally I show with Judith Butler, that citizens could defend the struggle for an post-traditional solidarity against the violence of identification only under the ecstatic understanding about the other.

이 논문에서 필자는 악셀 호네트와 함께 서울이라는 대도시의 한복판에서 벌어지는 성소수자의 인권도시운동을 단순한 권리투쟁이 아닌 연대투쟁으로 해석하고, 이 연대 투쟁이 타자성과 변화에 폐쇄적이지 않은 열린 가치투쟁이 되기 위해서는 형식적 인륜성, 탈-전통적 공동체 개념을 기반으로 하는 탈-전통적 연대 개념에 규범적으로 정향될 필요가 있음을 보여주었다. 이와 더불어 필자는 마지막에 버틀러와 함께 이러한 탈-전통적 연대 개념이 실질적으로 동일화의 폭력을 피해가기 위해서는 타자를 전유적으로 이해하는 것이 아니라 탈아적으로 이해할 필요가 있음을 주장하였다. 필자는 이럴 때 비로소 우리는 탈전통적 도시 공간에서 진정 자율성과 타자성에 열려있는 비폭력적 탈-전통적 연대 관계를 구축할 수 있다고 보는 것이다. 탈-전통적 연대는 바로 현대적 도시공동체 관계의 핵심이 된다.
