The purpose of this paper is to interpret morality from Dewey's naturalistic point of view and to complement the problem of relativism of naturalistic morality through the concept of homeostasis of Damasio. According to Dewey, morality is an aspect of experience and does not hold a special status separated from experience. We do not have a specific case named moral; we only morally experience a situation. However, his argument that morality depends on the situation can be interpreted as moral relativism. Although Dewey believes that morality is rooted in natural experience, he is not able to provide a detailed explanation about how the nature of the situation that is felt with satisfaction or dissatisfaction restricts the experience, failing to strongly confront the relativist doubt. The researcher believes that Antonio Damasio's discussion can offer a crucial clue to solve this problem. Demonstrating that feeling is not just an emotional state but is closely related to homeostasis, the physiological balance of an organism, Damasio specifies the natural foundation of morality.
