Based on the content of the Confucian Cultural Revitalization Project, we summarize the Confucian Cultural Project of Hyeonggyo, first, we promote the humanities of the local community by utilizing the cultural heritage of Hyeonggyo. Second, by acquiring the modern succession and future value of Confucian traditional culture, we provide local residents with opportunities for lifelong learning and cultivate cultural cultured people. Through this, the government has set and operated a goal to enhance the image of 'open Confucianism'. Sangju Hyeonggyo has been selected for the Confucian Cultural Revitalization Project every year since 2014, offering courses in the Confucian Academy and youth character education. Sangju Hyeonggyo has been implementing various cultural and educational projects. In particular, Sangju Hyeonggyo established a social education institute affiliated with Hyeonggyo in 2013 and operates various educational programs. In the future, the various cultural projects of Hyeangyo should have plans and plans to specialize or popularize students. First, the idea of creating a place of empathy for the opinion leaders of the community through Confucian projects. Second, it is a plan to specialize the educational program of Hyeonggyo into various humanities programs. Third, it is a measure to popularize humanities education programs. Fourth, it is a measure to establish mutual cooperation and supplementation with local lifelong education institutes. Fifth, it is a plan to specialize in well-aging programs for the elderly. Sixth, it is a plan to implement welfare improvement programs for senior citizens. There are two things to implement for this Hyanggyo project. First, we should organize cultural governance centered on Hyeonggyo. Second, the self-sustaining and permanent operating system of the Hyangyo program should be prepared.

유교문화활성화사업의 내용을 바탕으로 향교의 유교문화 사업을 정리하면, 첫째, 향교의 문화유산을 활용하여 지역사회의 인문학을 진흥한다는 점, 둘째, 유교 전통문화의 현대적 계승과 미래 가치를 습득하여 지역 주민에게 평생학 습의 기회를 제공하여 문화적 교양인을 양성한다는 점이다. 이를 통하여 ‘열린 유교’의 이미지를 제고한다는 목표를 설정하고 운영하고 있다. 상주향교는 2014년 이후 매년 유교문화활성화사업에 선정되어, 유교아카데미 강좌 및 청 소년 인성교육을 진행하였다. 상주향교는 문화⋅교육사업을 다양하게 시행해 오고 있다. 특히 상주향교는 2013년에 향교부설 사회교육원을 설립하여 전국 의 향교 가운데 모범적인 향교로 꼽힐 만큼 활발한 노력을 해오고 있다. 교육 프로그램 운영은 내부 구성원 및 지역민을 위한 교육프로그램 운영 등 다양한 교육프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 앞으로 향교의 각종 문화사업은 수강자의 대 상을 전문화하거나 대중화하는 계획을 갖추어야 한다. 첫째, 유교 사업을 통 한 지역사회의 양식있는 오피니언 리더층의 공감의 장 마련이다. 둘째, 향교 의 교육프로그램을 통해 다양한 인문프로그램으로 전문화하여 확산하는 방안을 고려해야 할 시점이다. 셋째, 인문교육 프로그램의 대중화이다. 넷째, 지역 평생교육원과 상호 협력⋅보완 관계를 이루어야 한다. 다섯째, 갈수록 젊어지 는 노인층을 위한 웰에이징 프로그램 특화 방안이다. 여섯째, 노인복지 향상 프로그램 시행 방안이다. 이러한 향교 사업 확산을 위해 여러 가지 단계적이 며 체계적으로 시행해야 할 일이 있다. 첫째, 향교가 중심되는 문화 거버넌스 를 조직해야 한다. 둘째, 향교 프로그램의 자생력과 상설 운영 체제를 마련해 야 한다.
