It was a general tendency that peace discourse has been regarded as a dimension of theoretical research and abstract argument as a universal value of mankind. In addition, the level of practical promotion and realization of the peace discourse has been mainly carried out at the national level or in the context of international relations. It is necessary to pursue a new search by lowering the level of peace discourse to the level of local governments and peace practice to the socioeconomic level. In this respect, the needs is raised to promote peace industrialization that can spread its effects to the local economy along with the discovery and development of peace practice projects at the local government level. This article seeks a plan at the level of local governments in northern Gyeonggi Province that can practice and industrialize peace in various ways by utilizing the concept of peace that has broadened academic horizons. In particular, by discovering the elements of peace practice and industrialization in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province, it finds efforts to practice peace in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province, the border between the two Koreas. And the ways to discover and foster peace industries are sought.

평화 담론은 인류 보편의 가치로서 이론적 연구와 추상적 논변의 차원으로 간주되어 온 것이 일반적 경 향이었다. 그리고 평화담론의 현실적 추진과 실현의 수준도 주로 국가 차원이나 국제관계의 맥락에서 진 행되어 왔다. 평화 담론의 눈높이를 지자체 수준으로, 평화 실천의 수준을 사회경제적 차원으로 낮춰 추진 하는 새로운 모색이 필요하다. 이런 측면에서 지자체 차원의 평화실천 사업 발굴 및 개발과 함께, 그 효과를 지역경제로 파급시켜나갈 수 있는 평화산업화를 추진할 필요성이 제기된다. 이 글은 학문적 지평이 넓어 진 평화 개념을 활용하여 다양한 방식으로 평화를 실천하고 산업화할 수 있는 경기북부 지자체 차원의 방 안을 모색하는 것이다. 특히 경기북부지역의 평화실천 콘텐츠 및 산업화 요소들을 발굴하여 남북 접경지 역인 경기북부지역의 평화실천 노력과 평화산업 발굴 및 육성을 위한 방안들을 모색하고 있다.
