Purpose : This paper was conducted to explore various changes in the future and Development plans according to the FTA promotion between Korea and the Philippines. Research design, data, methodology : The Philippines has maintained high economic growth rates of over 6% in recent years. President Duterte, who took office in 2016, is leading the Philippines in revival through powerful criminal cleanup and infrastructure. In the Philippines, overseas remittance inflows and outsourcing industries are at the center of the economy, and travel and leisure industries have also developed. Meanwhile, Korea and the Philippines have maintained friendly relations for more than 70 years. Results : In particular, the two countries created cooperation opportunities through a multilateral agreement through the Korea-ASEAN FTA. In recent years, efforts have been made to broaden the mutual relationship between the two countries through the promotion of separate FTAs. Therefore, this paper considered the status of foreign trade in the Philippines, major economic zones and related industries. Conclusions : In addition, this was analyzed, and after examining the effects of bilateral FTAs, various methods were developed to expand and develop mutual trade from the corporate and governmental aspects.

본 논문은 한국과 필리핀 간 FTA가 추진되고 있는 가운데 향후 상호간의 다각적인 변화와 이 에 따른 발전 방안을 모색하기 위하여 진행하였다. 2016년에 새로이 집권한 두테르테 대통령 이 강력한 범죄 소탕과 대외 교역 재정립 그리고 인프라 확대 정책 등으로 자국 정부를 이끌고 있는 가운데 필리핀은 최근 수년간 약 6% 이상의 높은 경제 성장률을 기록하고 있다. 필리핀 은 해외 송금 유입과 아웃소싱 산업 등이 자국 경제의 중요 축으로 자리 잡고 있으며 여행과 레저 산업 등도 발달한 전통적인 개발도상국으로 우리나라와 필리핀은 70년 이상 오랜 기간 지속적으로 우호 관계를 유지하고 있다. 특히, 양국은 한-아세안 FTA를 통한 다자 간 협정을 통해 협력 기회를 마련하였다. 그리고 최근에는 양자 간 별도의 FTA 체결 추진을 통해 상호간 교역 관계를 보다 포괄적으로 확대하기 위한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 필리핀 의 대외 교역 현황과 주요 경제특구 그리고 관련 산업들을 고찰하였다. 아울러 이와 같은 분석 을 통해, 양자간 FTA 추진에 따른 영향 등을 살펴본 후 기업과 정부 측면에서 상호 교역을 확대 발전시킬 수 있는 여러 방안들을 도출하였다. 따라서 향후에는 양자 간 FTA 체결 이후 상호간에 미치는 영향 등을 연구할 예정이다.
