[Purpose] The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between the personality and the effectiveness of the golf participants who are guided in the golf practice field and to verify the gender differences in the relationship. [Method] After selecting amateur golfers who are being coached on golf at a golf practice range as a population, a questionnaire containing personality characteristics and a map efficiency measure was used as a survey tool. [Result] Studies have shown that neurotic tendencies, sincerity, negligence and introversion affect map efficiency. It was also shown that there are gender differences in the impact of sincerity, extroversion, negligence and introversion on map efficiency. [Conclusion] Golf leaders need to present guidance measures based on the personality characteristics and gender of golf participants.

[목적] 골프 연습장에서 지도를 받는 골프 참여자의 성격특성과 지도 효율성의 영향관계를 규명하고 그 영향관계에 서 성별의 차이를 검증하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. [방법] 골프 연습장에서 골프 지도를 받고 있는 아마추어 골퍼를 모집단으로 선정한 후 성격특성과 지도 효율성 척도가 포함된 설문지를 조사도구로 활용하였다. [결과] 연구 결과 신 경증적 성향, 성실성, 태만성, 내향성이 지도 효율성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 성실성, 외향성, 태만성, 내향성이 지도 효율성에 미치는 영향에서 성별에 따른 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. [결론] 골프 지도자는 골프 참 여자의 성격특성과 성별에 따라 지도 방안을 제시할 필요가 있다.
