This study was conducted with the aim of providing plans to activate Taekwondo for the disabled through a SWOT analysis. The following results were derived from the SWOT analysis. First, group approval apart from the Korea Paralympic Committee was found to be a strength factor. Second, the small pool of disabled Taekwondo athletes was found to be a weakness factor. Third, the increase in the number of instructors for disabled Taekwondo athletes was found to be an opportunity factor. Fourth, the lack of opportunities to obtain rankings due to low participation in international competitions was found to be a threat factor. Based on these findings, it was found that the SO strategy for activating Taekwondo for the disabled is boosting interest in and providing opportunities for Taekwondo for the disabled, and that the ST strategy is providing professionalism education for instructors. The WO strategy was found to be improving awareness of Taekwondo for the disabled. The WT strategy was found to be discovering excellent athletes and training instructors.

이 연구는 SWOT 분석을 통한 장애인 태권도 활성화 방안을 제공하는데 목적을 두고 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째 대한 장애인체육회 별도의 단체 승인은 강점요인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애인 태권도 선수의 얇은 선수 층은 약점요인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애인 태권도 지도자의 증가는 기회요인으로 나타났다. 넷째, 국제대회 출전이 적어 랭킹획득 기회결여는 위협요인으로 나타났다. 이를 통한 활성화 전략으로 SO전략은 장애인 태권도의 관심과 기회 제공으 로 나타났다. ST전략은 지도자의 전문성 교육으로 나타났다. WO전략은 장애인 태권도의 인식으로 나타났다. WT전략은 우수선수 발굴 및 지도자 양성으로 나타났다.
