The purpose of this thesis is to clarify the meaning of neo-humanity, the core of neo-humanism, a new human theory of Donghak. Through the concept of neo-humanity, the original meaning of Donghak thought is revealed. The contents of this paper were as follows. First, the difference between the Donghak thought and the Western existentialist humanism was dealt with. Second, the difference between the anthropology of Donghak thought and the anthropocentricism of the West was dealt with. Third, the characteristics of the life thought of Donghak thought were examined. The conclusion of this paper was as follows. First, the Donghak thought was a thought that overcame the limitations of Western existentialist thought. Second, the Donghak thought was an ideology that solved the problems arising from Western anthropocentrism. Third, the Donghak thought was a thought that expanded the sphere of human thought to the whole world.

이 논문의 목적은 동학의 새로운 인간론인 네오휴머니즘의 핵심인 네오휴머니티의 의미를 밝힌다. 네오휴머니티 개념을 통해 동학사상에 내재된 독창적인 의미를 밝힌다. 이 논문의 내용은 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 동학과 서양의 실존주의적 인간론의 차이점을 다뤘다. 둘째, 동학의 인간론과 서양의 인간중심주의의 차이점을 다뤘다. 셋째, 동학의 생명사상이 지닌 특징을 살폈다. 이 논문의 결론은 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 동학은 서양의 실존주의적 사상이 지닌 한계를 극복한 사상이었다. 둘째, 동학은 서양의 인간중심주의로 인해 발생한 문제점들을 해결한 사상이었다. 셋째, 동학은 인간의 사유 영역을 전(全)지구적으로 확장한 사상이었다.
