A bureaucratic literary man who lived in the latter half of the 17th century to the first half of the 18th century, Gollyun Choi Changdae (1669-1720) was a major figure in Soron, and received a reputation for the 17th century romanticism. In his own collection of books, Gollyun-Jip, he left 91 condolatory poems out of 712 poems. Condolatory poetry is a liberal arts ceremony that is not free from the criticism that it is ritualistic and conventional. However, many writers created poetry and many of them are assessed as excellent works. Therefore, in this study, we look at Gollyun's poems that were not dealt with in the study of Gollyun, and look at his poems to confirm the literary figurative methods and confirm Gollyun's literary competence concretely. I try to use it as an opportunity. Although it is not possible to describe the whole world of Gollyun's poetry with condolatory poetry, it is possible to confirm his emotions and literary techniques that were expressed in the face of people’s death. I think that this study does not end with the study of condolatory poetry of Gollyun, but can be used as a trigger to broadly confirm a part of the 17th to 18th century poetry and literature.

17세기 후반부터 18세기 전반을 살았던 관료문인인 昆侖崔昌大(1669∼1720) 는 소론의 주요 인물로 17세기 낭만주의를 발전적으로 계승한 인물이라는 평가는 받는다. 그는 자신의 문집 『昆侖集』에 총 712수의 시 가운데 91수의 만시를 자신의 문집에 남겼다. 만시가 비록 의례적이고 상투적이라는 비판에서 자유롭지 못한 문 학양식이기는 하나 수많은 문인들은 만시를 창작해왔고, 그중에는 수작으로 손꼽히 는 작품도 존재한다. 따라서 본고에서는 기존의 연구에서 다루지 않았던 곤륜의 만 시를 살펴 그의 만시를 개관하고 문학적 형상화 방법을 확인하여 곤륜의 문학적 역 량을 구체적으로 확인하는 계기로 삼고자 하였다. 그 형상화 방법에 대해서는 ‘不遇 한 運命에 대한 슬픔의 발현’, ‘역사적 인물을 활용한 망자의 회상’, ‘亡者의 不在로 인한 憂慮와 칭양’ 세 가지로 구분하여 살펴보았다. 만시라는 한정된 시작품들로 곤륜의 시세계 전체를 예단할 수는 없지만 상대방의 죽음을 마주하고 표출된 그의 정서와 문학적 기법을 확인할 수 있다는 점에서 만시는 충분히 다뤄볼 만한 주제이 다. 이 작업은 단순히 곤륜에 대한 연구로 끝나는 것이 아니라 넓게는 17세기∼18 세기 만시 문학의 일단을 확인하는 계기로 작용할 수 있을 것이다.
