The purpose of this study was to explore the method and present a plan for reconstruction of the music curriculum for learner-centered learning. For this purpose, the theoretical background and features of learner-centered learning, the method and procedure of curriculum reconstruction were reviewed. The level and characteristics of students, the 2015 revision music curriculum were then analyzed, and for the 5th grade students the methods for reconstruction of the music curriculum were explored. Learner-centered learning is the instruction in which learners form learning based on constructivist epistemology. In this process, teachers play the role of facilitators of learning activities. In order to implement learner-centered learning it could be necessary to restructure the national-level curriculum into teacher-level curriculum according to the uniqueness of students, schools, and regions. In this study, for 5th graders learner-centered music studies, examples of restructuring plans are proposed based on the expansion of student participation activities and choices, project-based learning.

본 연구는 학생중심수업을 위하여 음악과 교육과정 재구성 방안을 탐색하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 학생중심수업의 이론적 배경과 성격, 교육과정 재구성의 개념과 방법 및 절차를 살 펴보았으며, 학생의 수준 및 특성과 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정 및 교과서 자료 분석에 기초하여, 초등학교 5학년을 대상으로 10차시의 음악과 교육과정 재구성 방안을 제시하였다. 학생중심수업 은 구성주의 인식론의 토대 위에 학생이 주체가 되어 배움을 형성해가는 수업을 뜻하며, 이 과정에서 교사는 학습 활동을 촉진시키는 조력자로서의 역할을 수행한다. 이를 위해서는 국가 수준 교육 과정을 학생, 학교, 지역 등의 특수성에 따라 교사 수준 교육과정으로 재구성하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 학생의 참여 및 선택권을 확대하고 협력적으로 프로젝트 과제를 수행 과정에서 스스로 지식을 형성해가는 한편 실제적인 상황과 관련하여 보다 의미 있는 학습 경험이 이루어지도록 하는 것에 초점을 맞추어 음악과 교육과정을 재구성하였다.
