This paper aims to investigate how the narration of memory as the remembered present in contemporaneous solidarity which represents individual consciousness, experiencing a historical event in one period, can be reconciled with futuristic imagination through semiotic activity based on Peirce’s semiotic theory. Thus, I shall look at the dialogical relation between individual history and general history through Henry Miller’s concept of history characterized by the actuality of history; I shall explain this through Peirce’s methodeutic, which is regarded as the process of classification of science. Based on Peirce’s methodeutic, I shall explain the process of representation on the ground of a hierarchical order in history-biography-art criticism through a testimony of history from a movie director, then showing that a film text produces sentimental solidarity by means of biographical narrative, inviting an audience. Insofar as general quality is interpreted behind the scene in a semiotic process, current consciousness is understood as the remembered present, and the film text as a testimony of a film director connects the past to the future, thus mediating individual history with general history.

본 논문은 한 시대의 역사적 사건의 경험에서 개인의 의식이 재현하는 기억의 내레이션이 어떻게 동시대적 연대에서 기억된 현재로서 미래적 상 상력과 화합하는지를, 퍼스 기호이론에 기초한 기호 활동에서 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 따라서 역사의 실제성이라는 개념으로 특징지어진 헨리 밀러의 역사 개념에서 개별역사와 일반 역사의 대화적 관계를 살펴 보고, 둘의 관계를 퍼스의 과학 분류 방법을 적용하여 설명한다. 퍼스의 방법에 따라 역사-전기-문예비평이 나타내는 위계질서를 토대로 영화 매 체의 재현과정을 감독의 역사 증언과 기억의 내레이션 관계를 통해 설명 하며, 전기적 내러티브의 형식을 사용하여 생산된 영화텍스트가 관람자를 초대하여 감정의 연대를 만든다는 점을 밝힌다. 이러한 기호과정에서 사 건 이 면에 있는 일반성의 자질이 해석되므로, 현재 의식은 항상 기억되 는 현재로 이해되며, 감독의 증언으로서 영화텍스트는 과거와 미래를 연결하고, 개별역사와 일반 역사를 매개한다는 점이 드러난다.
