The purpose of this study is to analyze that the residence condition of less developed areas has influence on residence satisfaction based on invigorating areas. First of all, considering related theories and preceding study, we looked into the relation between residence condition and residence satisfaction in less developed areas and analyzed how the residence condition of less developed areas had influence on residence satisfaction through empirical analysis. The study areas are four counties as Yeongyang-gun, Uiseong-gun, Bonghwa-gun and Cheongsong-gun. The measurement and evaluation of the residence condition and satisfaction in less developed areas were conducted on 162 residents. The questionnaire was carried out by face to face for 10 days from 21st to 30st of October in 2015 and performed by reliability analysis, frequency analysis, mean analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS 18.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, living convenience and settlement condition ranked high with 3.42 points and 3.04 points, respectively on the residence condition of less developed areas. On the other hand, income-economy condition, transportation condition, and education condition ranked low with 2.66 points. The residence satisfaction as a dependent variable in this study was shown by 3.11 points. Second, according to the results of the residence satisfaction's influence analysis by the residence condition of less developed areas with hierarchical regression analysis, income-economy condition had the most influence on residence condition in less developed areas and transportation condition and living convenience ranked next. The housing condition, education condition, and welfare-culture condition out of conditions in this study were meaningless in statistics.

본 연구의 목적은 경상북도 지역활성화지역을 중심으로 낙후지역의 정주여건이 정주 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 관련이론 및 선행연구의 고찰을 통해 낙후지역 정주여건과 정주만족도의 관계를 살펴보았고, 실증분석을 통해 낙후지역의 정주여건이 정주만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 경상북도에서 지역 활성화지역으로 지정된 영양군, 의성군, 봉화군, 청송군의 4개 시군이고, 주민 162명을 대상으로 낙후지역의 정주여건과 정주만족도를 측정 및 평가하였다. 설문조사는 2015년 10월 21일부터 30일까지 10일간 이루어졌고, 직접대면을 통해 조사했다. 조사된 설문지는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 신뢰성분석, 빈도분석, 평균분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 우선, 낙후지역의 정주여건을 살펴보면 생활편의여건(3.42)이 가장 높게 나타났고 주거여건(3.04)이 뒤를 이었다. 반면 소득 및 경제여건(2.66), 교통여건(2.66), 교육여건 (2.68)은 낮게 나타났다. 한편, 본 연구의 종속변수인 정주만족도는 3.11로 나타났다. 다음 으로 위계적 회귀분석을 이용한 낙후지역 정주여건이 정주만족도에 미치는 영향분석 결과에 의하면, 낙후지역 정주만족도에는 소득 및 경제여건이 가장 큰 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 교통여건, 생활편의여건의 순으로 나타났다. 반면 주택 여건, 교육여건, 복지 및 문화여건은 통계적으로 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
