The Korean court dance called gung-jung-jeong-jae(宮中呈才) which has been preserved and transmitted for long time, contains the essence of Korean local culture, and has the cultural value as a source content that enables the possibility of developing into glocal cultural products in the globalized world. In this context, this paper discussed about several means to make Korean court dance an attractive performance content; 1) to compose an interesting storytelling based on the origin and historical background of a dance item, and process it into a videography to project on the back screen along with various stage effects thereby to improve the degree of the audience's interest and understanding. 2) to bind several dance items according to specific themes on the style, religious idea, form, etc. 3) to restore the court banquet in the royal palace or similar places with a reference to historical records. 4) to unite various Asian court dance items according to attractive themes that display the similarity and diversity of Asia court dance in concept, style and technique. 5) to establish regular repertoire performance system at regular performance facilities. Thus, this paper proposes the possibility of developing Korean court dance into a cultural goods of national brand level in the international trend of glocalization.

21세기 문화적 글로벌화의 조류 안에서 장구한 전통을 통해 보존, 전승되어 온 우리나라의 궁중정재는 수준 높은 로컬문화의 한 예범이자, 글로컬 문화상품의 개발을 위한 원천콘텐츠로서의 가치를 지닌다. 이러한 문맥에서 본고는 궁중정재의 정형태를 유지하는 한도 내에서 관극 유인력을 지닌 공연콘텐츠로 개발하는 몇 가지 방안을 제 안하였다. 첫째, 역사적 스토리텔링의 구축 및 상연텍스트화 방안이다. 즉, 궁중정재 곡목 의 발생 및 배경 설화를 토대로 한 흥미로운 스토리텔링을 발굴하여 동영상콘텐츠로 구축한 뒤 본 공연 전에 현대적 공연설비를 활용하여 투사함으로써 춤에 대한 관객의 이해도와 유인도를 강화한다. 둘째, 궁중정재의 유형, 관념, 형태 등에 따른 특정한 기획주제 하에 여러 곡목 들을 묶어 합연하는 방안이다. 발생 연원에 따라 당악정재와 향악정재의 양식, 종교적 발생 배경, 관념적 물질적 조건 등의 유사성과 변별성을 주제로 한 기획이 가능하다. 셋째, 궁중연향 의궤의 세밀한 고증과 분석을 바탕으로 한 궁중연향의례의 재현 공연이다. 특히 일회성의 대규모 외연보다는 지속적 공연이 가능한 소규모 내연의 공 연기획 방안을 모색한다. 넷째, 흥미로운 기획주제 하에 아시아의 궁중무용 혹은 고전무용 곡목들을 묶어 합연하는 방안이다. 즉 발생 기원과 역사, 종교적 배경, 연행 환경, 양식 및 기법 등의 유사성과 차별성을 근거로 한 다양한 공연 주제의 설정이 가능하다. 다섯째, 상설공연장에서의 상설 레퍼토리공연을 통해 궁중정재를 수준높은 국가 브랜드 문화 관광상품으로 정착시키는 방안이다. 이를 위해서는 실내와 야외를 구분한 공연장과 상연대본, 전문 공연단의 구비가 요구된다. 이러한 논의는 우리 궁중 문화의 꽃이라 할 수 있는 궁중정재를 세계에 과시할 만한 고품격 글로컬 문화콘텐츠 개발을 위한 시론의 성격을 갖는다.
