The purpose of the study is to explore the relationship between satisfaction factors after internet uses and social activities of the older people. The subjects of the study were 275 older people who are studying and using an internet in Busan. The analysis of frequencies, factor analysis, reliability test, multiple regression analysis were employed. Results are as follows. First, as the subjects, older people using an internet were more educated compared to average educational years of age over 50 in Korea. Second, 3 factors like intellectual inquiry, personal relations and old media uses were classified as satisfaction factors since they have used an internet. Third, social activity was assumed as dependent variables and 3 factors of satisfaction were assumed as independent variables. Older people who had more intellectual inquiry are more likely to have positive social activities. The study suggests as follows. 1) Internet can be played as the media to give the vital power to older people. 2) customer-served information education program should be developed to emphasize the positive effect of internet. 3) many contents of new media for many level of older people should be developed. 4) vocational education based on using internet ability should be provided to the older people in order to get new job or new career.

본 연구에서는 인터넷이 노년기에 어떤 의미를 줄 수 있는지를 살펴보기 위해 노인들의 인터넷 이용 후에 지각하고 있는 만족을 요인으로 분류하고 이 요인들이 노인들의 사회활동에 미치는 영향에 대해 조사하였다. 인터넷을 이용하고 있는 부산지역의 노인 275명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하고 연구목적에 따라 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 상관관계, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인터넷을 이용하고 있는 노인대상자들은 우리나라 노인의 평균학력보다 높은 학력을 지닌 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인터넷 이용후의 만족요인은 ‘지적탐구성’, ‘상호교류성’, ‘기존매체활용성’으로 3개의 요인으로 분류되었다. 셋째, 3개 의 만족요인이 노인들의 사회활동에 주는 영향력을 중다회귀분석한 결과 ‘지적 탐구성’이 증가할수록 사회활동이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구를 통해서 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인터넷은 노인들의 생활에 활력을 주는 미디어의 기능을 하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 인터넷의 긍정적인 효과를 부각시켜 노인을 위한 맞춤식 정보화 교육 프로그램이 개발되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 인터넷 이용의 활성화를 위해 다양한 계층의 노인을 위한 다양한 콘텐츠 개발이 시급하다. 넷째, 인터넷 활용능력을 직업창출이나 재취업교육으로 활용될 수 있도록 직업교육의 차원에서 접근해야 할 것이다.
