This paper is analyzing the work, Lee Hoe-sung's “Kinutawoutuonna(the woman who hits a kinuta)”, which was showed in several Japanese language high school textbooks. In fact, the work was published in “High School Japan Language I” which was published by Nihonsyoseki in 1994 and 1998. The work was also showed in 1998 in “High School New Language I” published by Kadogawashoten. It is assumed that the reason why the work included in the textbook “Japan Language I” was because of “the curriculum guideline” produced in 1989, in which the concept and idea of ‘international understanding’ and ‘international cooperation’ must be included in the material of textbooks. But, there was another idea, which can be called ‘increasing interest and deep understanding of Japanese culture and traditions’ in the guideline. This conflicting content would determine the inclusion and exclusion of the work of Lee Hoe-sung in the textbooks. When the work was showed in the Japanese language textbook, the concept and idea of ‘international understanding’ and ‘international cooperation’ from the guideline had been emphasized. On the other hand, when it was excluded, the idea of ‘interest and deep understanding of Japanese culture and traditions’ was newly adapted. The work in the textbooks was explained differently in the two textbooks: firstly, whereas the chosen people are important in the ‘overview’ of the work from Nihonsyoseki, the chosen culture is crucial from Kadogawashoten; secondly, in the ‘word explanation’, whereas the chosen people was central in Nihonsyoseki, the chosen culture was emphasized Kadogawashoten; thirdly, in the ‘practice problem’, the two publishers showed in the opposite position, respectably.

이 논문은 1994년･1998년 니혼쇼세키 출판사 『고교 국어Ⅰ』과 1998년 가도가 와쇼텡 출판사 『고등학교 신국어Ⅰ』에 게재된 이회성 『다듬이질 하는 여인』을, 1989년 ‘학습지도요령’ ｢국어Ⅰ｣ 교재 항목 지시 내용과 비교분석 한 것이다. 이 를 통해 『다듬이질 하는 여인』이 일본 고등학교 국어교과서에 게재되었다가 다시 배제된 이유를 알아보았다. 더불어 『다듬이질 하는 여인』을 게재한 두 출판사의 특징을 고찰하여 다음과 같은 사실을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 두 출판사의 작품 ‘개 요부분’은 ‘학습지도요령’ 교재 항목 중 “국제적 이해”라는 사항에 부합하고 있다. 니혼쇼세키 출판사는 1945년 일본의 식민지시대가 “패망”한 시기라고 표현하 여 전쟁책임 여부를 확실히 드러내고 있다. 가도가와쇼텡 출판사는 “옛 도읍, 경 주”라고 하여 조선의 문화를 강조하고 있다. 둘째, 두 출판사의 ‘단어설명’이나 ‘연습문제’로 볼 때 ‘학습지도요령’ 교재 항목 중 “국제적 협력”이라는 항목에 부 합하고 있다. ‘단어설명’의 경우 니혼쇼세키 출판사는 ‘조선 민족’, 가도가와쇼텡 출판사는 ‘조선 문화’에 중점을 두고 있다. ‘연습문제’의 경우 니혼쇼세키 출판사 가 ‘조선 문화’를 가도가와쇼텡이 ‘타민족’을 강조하고 있어 ‘단어설명’과 ‘연습문 제’는 서로 보완적 관계에 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 1989년 ‘학습지도요령’ “국제 이해” 및 “국제적 협력”이라는 항목에 따라 ‘재일’문학인 『다듬이질 하는 여인』 이 선택되었다. 그런데 2006년 이후 아베정권의 교육정책은 동일한 1989년 ‘학습 지도요령’ 중 “일본의 문화와 전통에 대한 관심과 깊은 이해”라는 교재 항목에 중점을 두게 되고, 이후 『다듬이질 하는 여인』은 고등학교 국어교과서에서는 배 제된 것으로 본다.
