Korean church schools are experiencing a rapid decline in the numbers since 1994. In this situation, several senior scholars in the field of Korean Christian education say that the restoration of ecclesiology is the key to overcome this crisis. As listening to this voice of the academia, this study will be one of trials in suggestion for the right establishment of the church education or educational ministry by the restoration of the ecclesiology. In order to examine ecclesiology theoretically, this study will attempt to consider the collaboration of church history, systematic theology, and Christian education as research methods. Also, so as to apply the results of these theoretical studies to the field, I will try to draw some suggestions for the educational ministry. The structure of this study is as follows; In chapter II, I will find the reasons why ecclesiology is needed in Korean Christian education. In chapter III, in the combined perspective and the method among church history, systematic theology, and Christian education, I will retrace the nature of the church, “the people of God (laos tou Theou).” In chapter IV, I will examine the identity of the church as "the body of Christ (corpus Christi)” with the same research method. Chapter V, I will examine the ecclesiology of the “mother church(domina mater ecclesia),” as the more educational mission of the church. In chapter VI, based on this theoretical study, I will offer several suggestions with the source of Trinitarian applications for the fields by four marks (attributes) of the church based on Nicene Council (A.D. 325).

1994년 이래 한국의 교회학교는 수적으로 급격한 쇠퇴를 경험하고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에 기독교교육학계에서는 교회론의 회복이 이 위기를 극복하는 길이라고 말한 다. 본 연구는 이러한 학계의 의견에 귀 기울이며, 교회론에 나타난 교회교육적 모습 의 회복을 통해 한국교회 현장의 올바른 교육목회를 위한 제언을 구하는 연구이다. 본고는 이론적으로 교회론을 살펴보기 위해, 연구방법에 있어서 교회사, 조직신학, 그리고 기독교교육의 협연을 통한 고찰을 시도한다. 또한 이러한 이론적 고찰의 결과 를 바탕으로 현장적용을 위한 교육목회적 제언을 이끌어 내려 한다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 구성을 가진다. I장의 도입부를 통해, 기독교교육 중 교회 교육에 있어서 교회론의 필요성을 느끼며, II장에서는 신학과 기독교교육의 관계를 통 해 교회론이 필요한 이유들을 살펴본다. 그리고 III장에서는 교회사적 고찰과 조직신 학적 고찰을 거쳐 기독교교육학적 고찰을 통해, “하나님의 백성(laos tou Theou)”이라 는 교회의 본질을 되짚어 본다. IV장에서는 “그리스도의 몸(corpus Christi)”으로서의 교회라는 교회의 정체성을 같은 연구 방법으로 살펴본다. V장은, 보다 기독교교육학 적 접근으로 교회의 교육적 사명인, “어머니 교회(domina mater ecclesia)”로서의 교 회론을 알아본다. VI장에서는 위에서 살펴본 교회론을 통한 이론적 근거를 토대로 현 장적 적용점으로서 교회교육적 제언인 교회의 삼위일체적 모습을 니케아공의회의 교회의 네 가지 속성적 특징을 중심으로 적용한 교육목회를 제시하며, VII장 결론을 통 해 연구를 마무리 짓는다.
