Recently, researches on measuring effectiveness for strategic communication have been actively conducted in the PR field. This is actually an effort to increase the visibility of PR. Strategic communication, however, must be probable in the process from problem recognition to evaluation. Therefore, this study proposes to establish as a way to establish the identity of pubic relations in terms of a strategic perspective. In this line, the current study intends to suggest practical measures through the analysis of the communication process for strategic PR. To this end, the research analyzed Silver Anvil Award cases of PRSA(Public Relations Society of America) in stages to diagnose factors and considerations necessary to sustain the strategic PR process. The discussion of this study is expected to contribute to the development of PR education and PR projects of companies and public institutions by preparing guidelines for logical PR process.

최근 PR 영역에서 전략적 커뮤니케이션을 위한 효과측정에 대한 연구가 활발해지고 있 다. 이는 사실 PR의 가시성을 높이고자 하는 노력이기도 하다. 하지만 전략적 커뮤니케이 션은 문제인식부터 평가 단계에 이르는 과정까지 개연성이 분명해야한다. 따라서 본 연구 에서는 전략적 관점에서의 PR 정체성 확립 방안을 마련하고자 한다. 특히 본 연구는 전략적 PR을 위한 커뮤니케이션 과정에 대한 진단/분석을 통하여 실천적 방안을 제시하 고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 전략적 PR 과정을 지속시키기 위해 필요한 요소와 고려사 항들을 탐색하고자 PRSA(Public Relations Society of America) 실버앤빌어워드 (Siver Anvil Award) 사례를 단계별로 분석하여 진단하였다. 본 연구의 논의는 논리적인 PR 과정을 위한 지침을 마련하여 향후 PR 교육과 기업/공공기관의 PR 프로젝트의 발전 에 기여할 수 있으리라 기대한다.
